At Único Madrid, we are seeking a **Department Head** with a strong operational leadership vocation and a passion for excellence in restaurant service. You will serve as the key reference figure for the Restaurant during your shift, ensuring at all times that a responsible person is present to supervise service, coordinate the team, and resolve any incidents—especially in the absence of the Maître. **Responsibilities:** * Lead restaurant service—the core of your responsibilities—overseeing sequence, timing, mise en place, and communication with the kitchen. * Provide operational support to other F\&B outlets (Breakfast, Bar, Room Service, and Events) whenever required by service demands. * Act as host: welcome guests, anticipate their needs, and provide special attention to VIP and regular guests. * Ensure compliance with SOPs and standards specific to a 5-star hotel. * Train, motivate, and provide feedback to the team, reinforcing product knowledge and procedural understanding. * Promote suggestive selling and upselling. * Collaborate on management tasks: occupancy forecasts, cash register closings, inventories, and shift reports. **What do we expect from you?** * Prior experience as Department Head, Restaurant Supervisor, Senior Waiter/Waitress, or a similar position. * Background in 4-/5-star hotels or high-end restaurants. * Strong restaurant and front-of-house service experience, with the ability to assume full operational responsibility without direct supervision. * Team leadership skills, autonomy, and decision-making capability. * Customer orientation, proactivity, and attention to detail. * Professional-level English (other languages are valued). * Availability and schedule flexibility, including weekends and holidays. **What do we offer?** * Permanent contract. * Incentives. * Full-time schedule. * Uniform and one meal per shift included. * Excellent working environment and team spirit. * Extensive continuous training programs. * Opportunities for career growth within the company. **ÚNICO: UNIQUE, EXTRAORDINARY, EXCELLENT.** Our purpose is to deliver exceptional service to our guests in outstanding hotels located in destinations such as Madrid, Mallorca, Costa Brava, Andalusia, and Northern Spain. We care for our guests, our team, our hotels, our communities, and our planet. This vision deserves to be real—every day and in every instance.
