We are seeking to hire a **Gallery Assistant for a Museum** to provide services at a **cultural center in Madrid**. The selected candidate will be responsible for welcoming, informing, and guiding visitors; supervising galleries and exhibition spaces; controlling access; and contributing to the smooth progression of visits—ensuring professional, high-quality service at all times. A minimum English proficiency level of **B1 is mandatory**, and knowledge of **other languages** will be considered favorably. Key responsibilities: * Greeting, attending to, and guiding visitors. * Providing basic information about galleries, exhibitions, services, and museum routes. * Controlling access and supporting visitor flow management. * Supervising galleries and exhibition spaces. * Ensuring compliance with museum regulations. * Reporting any incidents to the service supervisor. * Assisting visitors with reduced mobility or specific needs. * Organizing and managing queues during peak attendance periods. * Supporting activities, events, and temporary exhibitions. * Collaborating with the museum team to ensure appropriate visitor service. * **A disability certificate equal to or greater than 33% is mandatory**. * Sufficient English proficiency to welcome, inform, and guide foreign visitors. * Experience in customer service, gallery assistance, reception, access control, or similar roles. * Strong communication and interpersonal skills. * A responsible, punctual, organized individual capable of working effectively in a team. * Availability to work the museum’s scheduled hours, including weekends and public holidays as required. Preferred qualifications: * Knowledge of a **second language**, especially French, German, Italian, or other languages commonly used by international visitors. * Prior experience in **museums, cultural centers, exhibitions, or tourist venues**. * Education related to customer service, tourism, culture, or similar fields. * Experience serving international visitors.
