**Laboratory Maintenance Technician \- Instrumentation** ======================================================== **Location** Cornellà de Llobregat, Catalonia, Spain **Date posted** July 24, 2026 **Job ID** 22708 **Our vacancy and your responsibilities** We are seeking to hire a Technical Service Support Technician – High-Precision Weighing Equipment for our Technical Support Services Department. Reporting to the Service Coordinator, you will be responsible for preventive and/or corrective interventions on weighing and analytical equipment installed in laboratories of research centers, universities, and industries (e.g., pharmaceutical, food and beverage, chemical, etc.). Scheduled visits to various customer facilities located within your assigned territory (Catalonia). **Responsibilities:** * On-site technical support and assistance to customers within Catalonia, plus occasional support to other areas of the Iberian Peninsula as required by service needs. * Installation, validation, and preventive/corrective maintenance of already-installed instruments. * Technical assistance and customer support, both on-site and via telephone. * Familiarity with international regulations applicable to weighing instruments in the pharmaceutical sector. * Management of spare parts for serviced instrumentation; reporting all interventions to the Regional Coordinator. * Management of technical documentation per customer and intervention performed. * Identification of customer needs and, where feasible, expansion of contracted services and/or renewal of equipment according to individual customer requirements. **What you need** * Higher Vocational Training degree in Electronics and/or Automation and/or Instrumentation and/or Biomedical Engineering or equivalent. * Experience as an on-site Technical Service Support Technician; experience in the pharmaceutical or chemical sector is highly desirable. * Technical experience in weighing or analytical instrumentation is considered a strong advantage. * English proficiency at B1 level, sufficient to handle technical manuals and access technical training for our equipment. * Proficiency in standard IT tools: Microsoft Office suite and equipment communication systems. * Residence in Catalonia and willingness to travel across Spain. * Valid Category B driver’s license. * Strong communication skills. **What we offer** * Opportunity to join a leading, globally recognized company in the industry. * Permanent employment contract. * Fixed \+ variable salary and performance-based bonus system. * Attractive employee benefits package (childcare vouchers, meal vouchers/diet allowances, private health insurance, pension plan, among others). * Company car, reimbursement of travel expenses and meals. * Work-life balance policies. * Comprehensive initial and ongoing training programs—both technical product training and professional development. **About Mettler Toledo** METTLER TOLEDO is one of the world’s leading providers of precision instruments and services.
