We are looking for a Production Technology Manager to play a key role in ensuring that our infrastructure, pipeline, and technical resources evolve in line with production needs. **Job description** The Production Technology Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the studio’s technical infrastructure and software pipeline, with a strong focus on supporting production efficiency, scalability, and reliability. This role sits at the intersection of production, VFX supervision, and technical teams, acting as a central point of coordination to ensure that systems, resources, and priorities are aligned with project demands. The position requires a highly organized and pragmatic leader who can balance strategic thinking with hands\-on problem solving, ensuring that technology consistently enables, rather than limits, production. **Location**: Tenerife preferred, ideally in\-studio presence. Hybrid working can be considered. **Key Responsibilities:** * Oversee and manage the studio’s technical infrastructure, including render farm, storage, networking, and workstations * Collaborate with pipeline and development teams to maintain and improve the software pipeline * Plan, allocate, and optimize technical resources in line with production requirements * Work closely with Production and VFX Supervisors to define priorities and ensure alignment * Ensure system stability, performance, and scalability across all production phases * Identify bottlenecks and implement long\-term, structural solutions * Improve workflow efficiency and reduce operational friction across departments * Coordinate technical troubleshooting and manage critical issues when they arise * Define and implement operational best practices, standards, and documentation * Monitor infrastructure usage and costs, proposing optimizations where needed * Contribute to the definition and execution of the studio’s overall technology strategy **Required Skills and Qualifications** * Proven experience in VFX, animation, post\-production, or high\-performance computing environments * Strong understanding of VFX pipelines and production workflows * Solid knowledge of IT infrastructure (render farms, storage, networking, cloud environments) * Experience with Windows Active Directory and general Windows system management * Experience in resource planning and technical coordination within production contexts * Strong analytical and problem\-solving skills * Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast\-paced environment * Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and optimization * Excellent communication skills across technical and non\-technical teams * Pragmatic, solution\-oriented approach **Nice to Have** * Experience with render management systems (Deadline, Qube, or similar) * Knowledge of Linux environments and scripting (Python, Bash) * Experience with cloud\-based infrastructure and distributed scaling * Technical background (Pipeline TD, System Engineer, or similar) **What We Offer** * Opportunity to work on high\-end international productions * A central role at the intersection of technology and production * A fast\-growing, dynamic environment with real ownership and autonomy * Direct impact on studio efficiency, workflows, and scalability * Close collaboration with leadership and supervision **Why Join Us?** At 22DOGS, you’ll be part of an ambitious and fast\-evolving VFX studio where production and technology are deeply interconnected.
