Summary: ISGlobal is seeking a postdoctoral researcher for epidemiological studies on the early-life chemical exposome, biological aging markers, and inflammatory/metabolic pathways. Highlights: 1. Work within the exposome and child health research group 2. Engage in epidemiological studies using unique early-life exposome data 3. Collaborate on manuscript preparation for significant research projects The Barcelona Institute for Global Health (ISGlobal) is a cutting\-edge institute addressing global public health challenges through research, translation into policy and education. ISGlobal has a broad portfolio in communicable and non\-communicable diseases including environmental and climate determinants, and applies a multidisciplinary scientific approach ranging from the molecular to the population level. Research is organized in five programs: Climate, Air Pollution, Nature and Urban Health; Environment and Health over the Lifecourse; Global Viral and Bacterial Infections; Malaria and Neglected Parasitic Diseases and Maternal Child and Reproductive Health. ISGlobal is accredited with the Severo Ochoa distinction, a seal of excellence of the Spanish Science Ministry. ### **WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR** ISGlobal is looking for a postdoctoral researcher to work within the exposome and child health research group of the Environment and Health over the Lifecourse (EVOLVE) Programme. Using the exposome as an overarching framework, the postdoctoral researcher will carry out epidemiological studies related to the early\-life chemical exposome, markers of biological ageing, and inflammatory and metabolic pathways. Unique data resources in European early\-life exposome cohorts are available for this work. ### **KEY RESPONSIBILITIES** * Finishing of the manuscript “Urban exposome, sleep and weight outcomes in adolescence across six European cohorts”, to be submitted to Environment International Collaboration in the preparation of manuscripts (as a co\-author) * Manuscripts resulting from the CONNECTION project (3 papers are planned) – to be submitted in 2026; * Manuscript of a collaboration with a Brazilian project – “Profiles of the Home Food Environment and Fruit and Vegetable Consumption Among Children Aged 24 to 59 Months in Brazil: Results from a National Survey” * Manuscript of a collaboration at ISGlobal – “Tracking diet quality and sustainability in relation to cardiometabolic health markers from prenatal life to adolescence: Results from the European HELIX study” * Responses to reviewers (if necessary) of papers currently under review **AUXILIAR TASKS** This job description reflects the present requirements of the post but may evolve at any time in the future as duties and responsibilities change and/or develop providing there is appropriate consultation with the post\-holder. The post holder will respect, and be accountable to ensure ISGlobal policies and procedures. ### **TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS** * Educated to doctoral level in epidemiology, public health, biostatistics, or related disciplines * Demonstrated expertise in epidemiology or environmental health studies * Demonstrated experience in complex statistical analyses, with proficiency in R software * Experience in chemical exposure studies an asset * Experience in molecular epidemiology an asset, specifically related to proteome data * Excellent command of the English language and good writing skills ### **LANGUAGE LEVEL** * Proficiency in English. ### **CONDITIONS** * Duration: 2 months * Starting date: 01/03/2026 * Contract Type: Full time * Salary: Post doc A ### **HOW TO APPLY** Applicants must fill in the request form and attach the CV and a Cover Letter. To assess the person's skills and CV. 2 \- Meeting with HR with the finalist(s) to finish assessing the profile and discuss contractual and institutional issues. If needed any technical test could be passed. A Psychological Competency Evaluation Test will be required for the structural or transversal positions. In accordance with the OTM\-R principles, a gender\-balanced recruitment panel is formed for every vacancy at the beginning of the process. After reviewing the content of the applications, the panel will start the interviews, with at least one technical and one administrative interview.
