Summary: ISGlobal is seeking a proactive data manager to join the EVOLVE program, focusing on environmental health research and micro/nanoplastics impact. Highlights: 1. Participate in the EU-funded AURORA project on micro/nanoplastics The Barcelona Institute for Global Health (ISGlobal) is a cutting\-edge institute addressing global public health challenges through research, translation into policy and education. ISGlobal has a broad portfolio in communicable and non\-communicable diseases including environmental and climate determinants, and applies a multidisciplinary scientific approach ranging from the molecular to the population level. Research is organized in five programs: Climate, Air Pollution, Nature and Urban Health; Environment and Health over the Lifecourse; Global Viral and Bacterial Infections; Malaria and Neglected Parasitic Diseases and Maternal Child and Reproductive Health. ISGlobal is accredited with the Severo Ochoa distinction, a seal of excellence of the Spanish Science Ministry. ### **WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR** ISGlobal is seeking a data manager who is interested in being part of the “Environment and Health over the Lifecourse” (EVOLVE) program (https://www.isglobal.org/en/environment\-and\-health\-over\-the\-lifecourse). The overall program goal is to better understand and prevent health effects of numerous environmental hazards and their mixtures, starting from the earliest stages of life. Within the EVOLVE program, the candidate will participate in the EU funded “Actionable eUropean ROadmap for early\-life health Risk Assessment of micro\- and nanoplastics” (AURORA) project (https://auroraresearch.eu/). AURORA aims to investigate the impact of micro\- and nanoplastics on health, focusing on the in utero period. The candidate will be responsible of the data management and statistical analysis and will be supervised by Dr. Vrijheid and Dr. Bustamante. ### **KEY RESPONSIBILITIES** * Data preparation of two cohort studies: exposures, outcomes and covariates (imputation of values below the limit of detection, imputation of missing values in covariates, harmonization of variables across cohorts, etc.). * Descriptive statistical analyses (frequencies, mean and standard deviation, correlation of exposures, etc.). * Association statistical analyses between micro\- and nanoplastics and health and molecular outcomes. * Meta\-analyses of results from the two cohorts. * Preparation of tables and plots for manuscripts. **AUXILIAR TASKS** This job description reflects the present requirements of the post but may evolve at any time in the future as duties and responsibilities change and/or develop providing there is appropriate consultation with the post\-holder. The post holder will respect, and be accountable to ensure ISGlobal policies and procedures. ### **TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS** * Knowledge on data management and statistical analysis in the field of environmental and molecular epidemiology. ### **SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS** * Prior knowledge on: biostatistics and R * Prior experience in the analysis of: epidemiological studies and environmental exposures ### **LANGUAGE LEVEL** * Proficiency in English and Spanish. ### **CONDITIONS** * Duration: 5 months * Starting date: February 2026 * Contract Type: Full time * Salary: Technician I C (36\.991€ gross annual) ### **HOW TO APPLY** Applicants must fill in the request form and attach the CV and a Cover Letter. To assess the person's skills and CV. 2 \- Meeting with HR with the finalist(s) to finish assessing the profile and discuss contractual and institutional issues. If needed any technical test could be passed. A Psychological Competency Evaluation Test will be required for the structural or transversal positions. In accordance with the OTM\-R principles, a gender\-balanced recruitment panel is formed for every vacancy at the beginning of the process. After reviewing the content of the applications, the panel will start the interviews, with at least one technical and one administrative interview.
