We’re looking for you!** We seek a candidate with a background in **Occupational Risk Prevention, Industrial Safety, and Chemical Engineering**, who will lead the implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) management systems on-site. Your primary objective will be ensuring regulatory compliance, reducing operational risks, and contributing to a robust and sustainable preventive culture within a highly regulated environment. ### **What will your day-to-day look like at Matteco?** * You will supervise regulatory compliance regarding health, safety (occupational and industrial), applicable to both internal staff and contractors. * You will plan, execute, and monitor preventive and corrective actions, conducting risk assessments to identify improvements and ensure their implementation. * You will lead Process Safety Management, guaranteeing operational process safety and issuing safety sign\-offs for new equipment, facilities, and ergonomic evaluations. * You will investigate and record occupational accidents and incidents, analyzing root causes and proposing measures to prevent recurrence. * You will draft, review, and maintain technical and preventive documentation—including Emergency Plans, internal and external communications, and Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for products. * You will deliver training and information to staff on prevention, use of PPE, industrial hygiene, and best practices to promote safe behavior. * You will conduct internal inspections and audits of the management system to detect deviations and ensure legal and corporate compliance. * You will closely coordinate with the technical department to maintain industrial machinery in safe operating conditions and participate in technical\-operational risk assessments. * You will coordinate and supervise activities of the External Prevention Service (SPA). ### **What will make you succeed in this role?** **Academic Qualifications** * Degree in Engineering—preferably Chemical or Industrial Engineering—or Environmental Sciences, Occupational Safety, or related fields. * Master’s degree in Occupational Risk Prevention covering all three specialties (Safety, Industrial Hygiene, and Ergonomics/Psychosociology). * ADR Safety Advisor certification for the transport of dangerous goods is a plus. **Technical Knowledge** * In-depth knowledge of legal regulations on safety, occupational health, and environmental protection. * Training and experience in Integrated Management Systems (ISO 45001) and participation in audits. * Knowledge of coordination of business activities (CAE) and use of management platforms. * Proficiency in drafting and updating technical documentation, emergency plans, and procedures. **Professional Experience** * 2–5+ years of experience in similar HSE roles within highly regulated industrial environments—such as chemical, hazardous materials, or other heavily regulated industrial sectors. * Participation in continuous improvement projects and internal audits. **Skills and Competencies** * Analytical ability, strong attention to detail, problem-solving autonomy, and a strong sense of ownership. * Ability to coordinate teams, lead improvement projects, and effectively influence others.
