**Opdenergy** is a growing independent power producer (IPP) with presence in Europe, the United States, and Latin America, and over 19 years of experience. The company develops, builds, finances, manages, and operates high-quality renewable energy projects across multiple countries, with a portfolio of 2.6 GW (1.3 operational and \+1.3 ready to build / under construction) of assets in operation and under construction. The total development pipeline exceeds 18 GW. We are currently seeking a **Senior Grid Engineer** based in Seville who, in coordination with Business Development and Construction teams, will lead the interconnection of renewable energy projects, considering utility technical requirements and applicable regulations. ### **Responsibilities** * Review and validate electrical drawings (SLDs, layout, cable routing, grounding, etc.) submitted by EPCs, consultants, or equipment suppliers. * Support Grid Connection Managers in preparing and reviewing grid connection studies and technical submissions to TSOs/DSOs. * Evaluate and verify protection schemes, relay settings, and coordination studies for MV/HV substations and equipment. * Participate in technical meetings with transmission/distribution operators, engineering consultants, and contractors to ensure compliance with connection requirements. * Review and comment on HV/MV/LV equipment specifications, ensuring alignment with project designs. * Support internal teams during bid evaluations, equipment selection, and contract negotiations from a grid perspective. * Assist during commissioning and energization phases, including FAT/SAT reviews and document sign-offs. * Coordinate with internal project, legal, procurement, and O\&M teams to ensure alignment of electrical and grid-related aspects throughout the asset lifecycle. * Manage the contracting and supervision of basic/detailed engineering and applicable regulations for evacuation infrastructure. * Conduct **Technical Due Diligence** on projects. ### **Requirements** * Degree in Electrical Engineering. * Based in Seville. * Experience in Energy, Power Systems, Power Transmission, Portfolio Management, Account Management, Substations, Contract Management, Renewable Energy, and Smart Grids. * 5–6 years of prior experience in other IPPs, TSOs, DSOs, or electrical infrastructure EPC companies. * Advanced level of English (C1\). * Advanced skills in office software, including Excel and PowerPoint. * Solid understanding of electrical design principles, HV/MV systems, and grid integration of renewable assets. * Familiarity with IEC, IEEE standards, and national grid codes. * Ability to interpret and comment on technical drawings and protection schematics. * Practical knowledge of protection relays and their settings. * Ability to read and verify cable sizing calculations, grounding system designs, and equipment lists. * Knowledge of communication protocols used in SCADA/PPC systems (e.g., IEC 61850, Modbus, DNP3\). * Familiarity with construction and commissioning phases of grid infrastructure, including attendance at FAT/SAT and energization procedures. ### **What we offer** * Hybrid model with 2 flexible remote working days per week. * Stable employment through an indefinite contract. * Real growth opportunities in a global and multicultural environment. * Free medical insurance. * Technical and language training according to needs. * Free meal vouchers. * Flexible compensation plan (transportation, childcare). *We are an* ***equal opportunity employer*** *.
