Focus on continuous improvement **Position Title:** Technical Manager (Development and Manufacturing Engineering) **Department:** Operations **Location:** Olloniego, Oviedo, Asturias **Position Mission:** The selected candidate will act as a strategic bridge between the client’s creative design team and PROASUR’s technical drafting and production teams. The primary objective is to transform museographic and experiential concepts into constructive realities, ensuring technical feasibility, deadline compliance, and—above all—the **protection of economic margin** through efficient technical decisions. **Main Responsibilities:** * **Value Engineering:** Evaluate design proposals to suggest alternative technical solutions and materials that optimize costs and weight without compromising quality or customer satisfaction. * **Technical Development:** Supervise and carry out comprehensive element design using 2D and 3D CAD software, ensuring output documentation (assembly drawings, component drawings, and CNC programs) is "First Time Right". * **Production Liaison:** Actively monitor fabrication and assembly progress at the PROASUR workshop and subcontractors’ facilities, autonomously resolving technical issues. * **Quality and Sustainability Management:** Incorporate environmental improvements during the design phase and ensure compliance with PROASUR’s corporate quality standards. **Desired Professional Profile:** * **Education:** Technical Architecture, Engineering (Industrial or Design), or Drafting professionals with extensive manufacturing experience. * **Experience:** 3–5 years in technical management or product development roles, preferably in the museographic, interior design, or retail sectors. * **Technical Skills:** * Advanced proficiency in 2D/3D CAD tools. * In-depth knowledge of diverse materials and production systems (wood, metal, glass, composites). * Ability to develop integrated construction solutions incorporating all elements required in museographic projects (furniture, AV technology, graphics, collection objects, display cases, multimedia content, interactive elements, etc.). * High level of English (mandatory for international projects). * **Interpersonal Skills (Soft Skills):** * **Economic Acumen:** Ability to make data-driven, profitability-oriented decisions. * **Fluent Communication:** Skill in communicating effectively with creative professionals and workshop personnel. * **Proactivity and Autonomy:** Capacity to resolve problems without unnecessarily escalating them to management. **What We Offer:** Integration into an international leader in cultural and museographic projects, with a multidisciplinary team and a dynamic work environment focused on continuous improvement. **Employment Conditions** * **Location:** Central offices in Olloniego, Oviedo, with possibility of **up to 20% remote work**. * **Travel:** Availability for occasional travel to production centers or facilities abroad. *"This job posting has been drafted with impartiality and non-discrimination in mind, regardless of gender, race, ideology, or any other factor.
