Job Summary: We are seeking a Junior Planning and Projects Engineer to develop new infrastructure and manage projects in the water sector, including wastewater treatment plants and water transport networks. Our core operations focus on three major areas: water—providing urban and industrial management solutions; waste—transforming waste into new resources; and energy—improving efficiency and reducing consumption and emissions in buildings, industries, and cities. **Job Description** At **Aigües de Barcelona**, one of our joint-venture companies within the group, we seek to hire a **Junior Planning and Projects Engineer**, based at the **Barcelona Metropolitan Area** offices, under an indefinite-term contract. **Scope of Work** You will work on developing new infrastructure as well as replacing and expanding existing infrastructure: * Water regeneration and treatment plants * Pumping stations * Reclaimed water transport networks * Outfall systems **Main Responsibilities** * Project and construction management * Preparation of tender documents and technical specifications * Preliminary studies and basic design proposals * Tender evaluation * Project and construction planning and monitoring * Liaison with public authorities * Hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical calculations **Requirements** **Qualifications** * Minimum of **5 years’ experience** in hydraulic works and wastewater treatment * Solid knowledge of hydraulic infrastructure: + Large-diameter sewers + Water transport networks + Pumping stations + Associated civil works * Additional experience in the following areas is considered advantageous: + Wastewater treatment facilities + Electrical systems and/or automation * Proficiency in tools and software: + Microsoft Office + TCQ + Microsoft Project + Google Workspace (Gmail, Drive, Meet, etc.) **Additional Information** As an inclusive employer, Veolia is committed to diversity and values all applications without discrimination.
