We are currently seeking specialists in Telecommunications Systems and Structured Cabling Engineering, whose work will be based at our Madrid/Bilbao office and who will report to the Head of the Electrical Department. Responsible for designing telecommunications network and structured cabling systems in data centers and buildings to ensure operational efficiency. This role involves close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to develop innovative technical solutions and coordinate project implementation from the design phase through to commissioning. **Your responsibilities:** * Telecommunications Systems Design: Develop technical solutions for structured cabling infrastructure, fiber optics, and wireless systems. Evaluate and select appropriate active and passive equipment (routers, switches, firewalls, optical distribution systems, etc.) to guarantee required connectivity and performance. * Requirements Analysis: Collaborate with architects, mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, and other professionals to understand and document project requirements—including functional and technical specifications. * Drawing and Diagram Development: Create plans, logical and physical diagrams, and detailed documentation for telecommunications networks, ensuring effective integration with the data center’s overall infrastructure. * Equipment Selection: Identify and specify suitable BMS equipment and components to meet project objectives—considering energy efficiency, reliability, and system compatibility. * Risk and Regulatory Assessment: Conduct risk assessments and ensure compliance with applicable regulations and standards related to safety, environmental protection, and energy efficiency. * Regulatory and Standards Compliance: Ensure designs and installations comply with international regulations and industry standards (e.g., TIA-942, ANSI, ISO/IEC), as well as sector-specific and client-specific requirements. * Implementation Supervision: Collaborate with contractors and installation teams to ensure telecommunications systems are implemented according to quality standards—and within budget and schedule constraints. * Testing and Commissioning: Perform functional and performance testing to verify proper operation of BMS systems, identifying and resolving any issues or deviations. * Training and Support: Provide technical training and support to clients and end users to ensure proper operation and maintenance of telecommunications systems. **What do you need to succeed?** * University degree in Telecommunications Engineering or a related field. * **Approximately 8 years’ prior experience** in designing and/or implementing building telecommunications network systems—preferably within the data center sector. * Advanced English proficiency. * In-depth knowledge of relevant regulations and standards. * Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in teams. * Detail orientation and capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously. **How will you do it?** You will join an integrated team composed of professionals with diverse academic backgrounds and varied experiences—enabling you to develop an interesting and enriching perspective.
