Management of multidisciplinary teams and decision-making **Requisition Number:** 24203BR **Description:** Stantec requires hiring a CONSTRUCTION PTL for its offices in Peru, a professional with at least 20 years of overall work experience. Some of their specific responsibilities will include: * A professional with 15 years of direct field experience in construction of large earthworks, waste dumps, tailings dams, platforms, mine roads, massive excavations, and works associated with open-pit or underground mining. * Technical expertise in soil and rock excavation, structural backfilling, grading and compaction, density control, material handling (till, select material, rock), and slope stabilization. * Experience in tunnel excavation using Drill & Blast, geomechanical monitoring, initial ground support, ventilation, and drainage; as well as knowledge of production blasting and controlled blasting design and control. * Technical knowledge of heavy construction and mining equipment, their productive capacities, and analysis of site performance, equipment productivity, and crew productivity. * Ability to develop execution plans, construction methodologies, and work plans, defining construction sequences, equipment logistics, and resource management. * Management of interferences and interfaces: Experience coordinating between work fronts, parallel projects, and mining operations, including interface management with contractors, supervision, and operational areas. * Experience in planning and executing works considering rainy and dry seasons, drainage control, platform stability, and operational continuity. * Knowledge of HSE standards and environmental management applied to construction analysis, including risk assessment, control of critical tasks, and environmental considerations in construction planning—such as water management, sediment and dust control, material disposal, and compliance with environmental commitments. * Experience in quality assurance and control on site, compliance with technical specifications, inspections, material control, and construction traceability. * Knowledge of regulatory requirements and technical standards applicable to mining and industrial projects. * Knowledge of regulatory requirements and technical standards applicable to mining and industrial projects. * Leadership of multidisciplinary teams, effective communication, and decision-making to ensure schedule, cost, quality, and safety objectives. **Qualifications:** The position requirements are: * Civil Engineer, Mining Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, or related degree. * Minimum 20 years of experience in large-scale construction projects in mining, hydrocarbons, or heavy industrial infrastructure. * Intermediate to advanced English proficiency. * Postgraduate degree or specialization in Project Management, Construction, or Engineering applied to mining is desirable. * Proficiency in design software: AutoCAD, BIM models, Primavera P6, MS Project. **About Stantec:** Stantec’s community comprises approximately 31,000 employees working across more than 450 locations on six continents.
