At Sener Aerospace and Defense, we are looking to hire an **Electronic AIT Engineer for Space and Defense projects** at our Madrid site (Tres Cantos). Our Electromechanical Systems (SEM) division has been a leading supplier of electromechanical systems to the world’s major space agencies (NASA, ESA, JAXA, and Roscosmos) since 1995. **Your responsibilities:** You will perform Assembly, Integration & Test (AIT) engineering tasks for electronic units in the space and defense sectors, acting as a liaison between Design Engineering and Production Engineering. You will be responsible for generating manufacturing documentation and monitoring assembly activities (both at PCA level and higher subassemblies), both at our own facilities and at external subcontractors. Your main tasks will include: * Industrialization: collaborating with Design Engineering to ensure product industrialization during early design phases. * Preparation of work packages for internal and external supplier assemblies, serving as focal point. * Production Engineering and Control (development of assembly procedures, routing sheets, tooling design, support to assembly line, PFMEA, VSM, LTC, etc.) * For space projects under ECSS standards, supporting welding MPCBs together with ESA and external customers. * Monitoring assembly activities both internally and at external suppliers. * Tracking and resolution of Non-Conformances. Participation in NRBs, defect investigation and disposition. * Support in generating change notices and their implementation. * Support during validation, qualification, certification, and acceptance tests. * Test Engineering (development of test procedures and reports, tooling design, test execution support, participation in TRRs with customer). * Standardization of processes within the production area. **What we expect from you:** * Degree in Industrial, Aerospace Engineering or related fields. * Knowledge of CATIA or similar modeling software, document management in PLM systems, Lean Manufacturing, Layout planning, 6sigma and Quality Control. * Advanced English proficiency. * Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role. * Experience in the design, assembly and qualification campaigns (vibration, thermal vacuum, shock, physical properties) of electronic units and PCAs (Printed Circuit Assemblies) in the space and/or defense sectors will be highly valued. * Knowledge of electronic component assembly certifications for space applications under ECSS requirements (PID according to ESA) and general knowledge of ECSS/ESCC and IPC standards is desirable. * Familiarity with electronic component (SMD) assembly processes for high-reliability applications will be considered an advantage. * Knowledge of materials suitable for space applications related to electronic units is desirable. * Strong interest in working in Production and Industrialization, understanding and engaging in product processes, proposing improvements, and working within multidisciplinary teams. **What we offer you:** These are some of the benefits you will enjoy at Sener: * Permanent contract. * Join a multidisciplinary and highly qualified team working on innovative technological projects internationally. * Continue your professional development with us and access a wide range of training opportunities (technical, soft skills, languages, etc.). * Take care of yourself with our physical and emotional wellbeing program: sports, workshops, medical services, physiotherapy, etc. * Optimize your salary through our flexible compensation plan (meal card, private health insurance, childcare vouchers...) and benefit from our life and accident insurance. * Flexibilize your way of working!
