Job Summary: We are seeking a vehicle mechanic to perform fault diagnosis, repair, and maintenance, vehicle preparation for the ITV (Technical Inspection of Vehicles), and customer service in a workshop. Key Responsibilities: 1. Diagnosis and repair of vehicle faults using manual tools and scanners 2. Preventive maintenance and vehicle preparation for the ITV (Technical Inspection of Vehicles) 3. Customer service to explain diagnoses and solutions We are looking for a vehicle mechanic for an automotive workshop located in Vallecas. The position is full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with split shifts from 08:00 to 18:00, including legally mandated breaks. Main responsibilities include diagnosing faults using manual tools and electronic scanners, as well as repairing components such as brakes, clutches, and suspension systems. Preventive maintenance tasks—such as oil, filter, and fluid changes—are also performed, along with general vehicle inspections to prevent future issues. Additionally, vehicles are prepared for the ITV (Technical Inspection of Vehicles), and assembly/disassembly of parts—including tires and exhaust systems—is carried out. Light chassis welding and operation of machinery such as hydraulic lifts and compressors are part of the role. Customer service includes explaining diagnoses and proposed solutions. * Minimum two years’ experience performing similar duties. * We seek a responsible and committed individual. * Proximity to the workplace is desirable.
