POSITION: MAINTENANCE STAFF
The Maintenance Staff is the professional responsible for ensuring the proper operation, preservation, and safety of the facilities, equipment, and infrastructure of Residencia Madre Elisea, contributing to providing a safe, accessible, and comfortable environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
Key responsibilities include performing preventive and corrective maintenance tasks on facilities (electricity, plumbing, carpentry, painting, masonry, and minor repairs), supervising the general condition of the building and its equipment, resolving technical incidents, controlling and maintaining climate control, lighting, and supply systems, as well as coordinating with external companies when specialized intervention is required for repairs.
Additionally, the role entails assisting in furniture and equipment assembly and relocation, maintaining outdoor areas and gardens where applicable, and managing basic stock of maintenance tools and materials.
The position requires a proactive attitude, ability to detect incidents before they cause problems, autonomy in organizing work, and availability to handle unforeseen situations that may affect the center’s operations.
This role is essential to ensure appropriate facility maintenance and resident well-being, guaranteeing that all center spaces remain in optimal condition for use, safety, and hygiene.
**Profile:**
REQUIREMENTS
Medium or Higher Vocational Training related to building maintenance, installations, electricity, plumbing, air conditioning, electromechanics, or similar fields.
Prior experience in comprehensive building maintenance positions; experience in socio-health centers, residential care facilities, or assistance centers is highly valued.
Knowledge of electricity, plumbing, carpentry, painting, masonry, and minor repairs.
Ability to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on facilities and equipment.
Basic knowledge of occupational risk prevention and safety regulations.
Skill to independently and efficiently identify and resolve incidents.
Organizational, planning, and priority management capabilities.
A responsible, solution-oriented, proactive individual with strong teamwork orientation.
Good interpersonal skills and ability to operate effectively in an elderly care setting, maintaining respectful and collaborative attitudes toward residents, families, and professionals.
Specific training in occupational risk prevention, fire protection system maintenance, legionella control, electricity, or air conditioning will be considered an advantage.
A valid Class B driving license will be considered an advantage.
