Position Summary: We are seeking a Mainframe Technician for technical support and maintenance in host environments, with a focus on reviewing batch processes and resolving JCL-related incidents, working collaboratively within an established banking environment. We are looking for a **Mainframe Technician** to join an already-established activity in a banking environment, working alongside a team of 4 Sopra Steria professionals and under direct client supervision. The role is oriented toward technical support and maintenance in host environments, with special emphasis on reviewing batch processes and resolving incidents arising from JCL execution. **Responsibilities and Functions** * Preparation of data in pre-production environments. * Review, analysis, and modification of **JCLs** to identify and resolve errors. * Analysis and resolution of incidents arising from batch processes in Mainframe environments. * Technical support coordinated with development and operations teams. * Liaison with technical teams to ensure correct process execution. **Profile Requirements** * Education: **Higher Vocational Training (FP Grado Superior) or University Degree**. * Minimum **3 years’ experience in Mainframe environments**. * Extensive experience in **JCLs** (support, maintenance, and error resolution). * Knowledge of **COBOL and DB2 Host**, for interaction with development teams. * Experience in technical incident support and resolution in batch environments. * English: **A2 level**. **Project Conditions** * Activity directed by the end client. * Location: **Client’s offices – Tres Cantos**. * Work modality: **Hybrid, with high in-office presence** — minimum **3 days/week in the office**. * During onboarding, in-office presence may be increased to facilitate adaptation. * Working hours: * Monday to Thursday: **08:00 – 18:00** * Friday: **08:00 – 15:00** **Economic Conditions** * Salary: **€28,000 gross annual (28K)** Location (Hybrid)
