(1\) **What are we looking for?** -------------------------- From the Technological and Data Risk Control Unit in Projects, we are seeking a Head of Data Governance with strategic vision, analytical, synthesis, and interpersonal skills to interact with different departments across the bank. **Let's talk about the project...** ---------------------------- Mission Ensure, from the Second Line of Defense (2LoD), effective, independent, and strategic oversight of Data Governance and Data Quality throughout the Group, guarantee regulatory compliance (especially BCBS239\), identify improvement areas in data management by the First Line of Defense (1LoD), and provide technical and methodological guidance at both global and subsidiary levels. Responsibilities * Develop and lead the 2LoD function and team responsible for overseeing and controlling Group-wide Data Governance and Data Quality. * Maintain a cross-functional understanding of how the First Line of Defense (1LoD) organizes and manages data and its quality, conduct continuous monitoring, and identify areas for improvement. Apply this across all phases of the data lifecycle, from data acquisition or generation, preparation, aggregation, usage, or *reporting*, and assess how data management is integrated into key technology projects. * Issue opinion documents to Governance Bodies on the status and evolution of Data Governance and Data Quality within the Group, as well as on the level of compliance with BCBS239 regulations (RDA/RR) regarding governance and quality of data used in risk-related *reporting* and decision-making. * Coordinate and guide Second Line of Defense teams within subsidiaries, whose oversight, control, and advisory functions are equivalent in scope and applied at the respective subsidiary level. **What do we value in your application?** ------------------------------------- * Minimum of 5 years of experience in using, controlling, and analyzing large volumes of data for calculations and *reporting*. * Strategic vision, strong analytical, synthesis, and interpersonal skills to engage with various departments within the bank. * Preferably a university degree in Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, or similar fields. * Conversational and meeting management level of English (B2\). Experience working on projects or roles with professionals from other countries or subsidiaries is an advantage. * In-depth knowledge of multiple internal bank units, their operations, and from a functional standpoint, their data management and usage processes. * Knowledge in using data management or data analysis tools is valued, as well as experience in financial analysis, internal and regulatory *reporting*, consulting, or financial audit.
