We are looking for a **Data Governance Consultant** to join a **strategic public-sector project** in Barcelona. The selected candidate will become part of a complex, multidisciplinary IT environment, participating in the **definition and implementation of the data governance model**, acting as a liaison between functional areas and technical teams. The role’s objective is to **ensure consistent, controlled, and high-quality use of information**, supporting the organization in adopting the data governance model. **Responsibilities:** * Collaborate in the **definition and implementation of the Data Governance model**. * Participate in defining **roles and responsibilities** related to data. * Support the development and implementation of **data management policies, processes, and standards**. * Participate in defining, maintaining, and evolving the **business glossary**. * Collaborate in identifying **critical data** for the organization. * Define and document **business rules and data quality requirements**. * Support functional areas in **adopting the governance model**. * Implement and maintain **dashboards for monitoring and controlling** governance initiatives. * Participate in **end-to-end data governance initiatives**, coordinated with various teams. **Requirements:** * University degree or vocational training in **technology, data, or related disciplines** (other degrees may also be considered depending on experience). * Minimum **2 years’ experience** in data projects, especially in **data governance and/or analytics**. * Knowledge of **defining and implementing data governance models**: policies, processes, organizational models, and metrics. * General knowledge in areas such as: + Data quality + Data security + Data modeling * Experience or knowledge in **metadata management**: glossary, catalog, data dictionary. * Strong **communication and analytical skills**, with the ability to interact effectively with both functional and technical profiles. * Teamwork capability, continuous learning mindset, and self-initiative. * **Catalan language level C1 (mandatory).** Additional Information **What do we offer you?** * Permanent contract and full-time working hours * 23 vacation days * Continuous training: technical, transversal, and language skills.
