Country/Region: ES Location: Madrid, Spain Date: 9 Jun 2026 Description: At Exolum, we continue to drive professional development by recognizing the value of internal mobility as a catalyst for growth—making it a key tool to enhance talent and commitment, broaden capabilities, and build enriching professional careers, as well as a solid, agile, and future-ready organization. **If you are ready to take the next step in your career and continue growing within Exolum, keep reading to learn the details of this position!** **Job Purpose** ----------------------- * Perform economic estimations for various types of projects, applying an appropriate level of uncertainty based on the project’s engineering development stage. * Lead the entire lifecycle of an engineering project—from engineering development through to commissioning—including permitting, procurement, and commissioning phases. * Lead and coordinate a multidisciplinary team of engineers working concurrently on multiple projects or construction works at any given time. * Perform economic estimations (CAPEX/OPEX) for different project types, adjusting the uncertainty level according to the degree of engineering definition, and support investment decision-making. **Main Responsibilities:** -------------------------- * Monitor the project from its initial conceptual engineering phase through to commissioning. * Develop conceptual engineering and FEED with sufficient quality and depth to adequately define specifications for detailed engineering, procurement and contracting, and facility construction phases. * Assess potential deviations and risks in projects and propose corrective and mitigation plans. * Identify and select suppliers in accordance with project requirements and Company procedures. * Plan and manage work schedules or Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) associated with projects, aligned with the progress of related engineering activities; review critical processes to ensure timely completion of tasks, identified milestones, and committed deliverables. * Ensure efficient execution of work in terms of cost, schedule, and quality, identifying improvement opportunities during project execution. Establish mechanisms and procedures to ensure quality at each project stage. * Track and report project progress in terms of cost, schedule, and risks through regular stakeholder meetings and corporate tools. * Manage and obtain administrative permits and authorizations. * Coordinate fieldwork development and execution together with designated personnel. * Prepare necessary documentation to solicit bids from contractors across various disciplines. * Review supplier proposals to select the best technical-economic offer and prepare award and contracting proposals. * Apply change management processes throughout the project lifecycle. * Serve as the primary liaison with public administration representatives at all levels. * Prepare periodic reports—regarding content, timing, and format—both internally and externally, highlighting key KPIs to track project evolution. * Ensure effective and appropriate communication with project stakeholders at all times, reporting on activity progress and major milestones. * Work in accordance with EXOLUM’s standards, procedures, and regulations, as well as applicable national and international legislation and regulatory requirements, and propose potential improvements to EXOLUM’s internal documentation. * Collaborate with various departments in developing documents, standardization, technical specifications, tender documents, and procedures. **Profile We Are Seeking:** * Industrial, Mining, or Civil Engineer (Roads, Ports, and Canals) * External Project Management certification * 10 years’ experience leading Oil & Gas or equivalent projects * Experience leading multidisciplinary projects exceeding €1M * Experience performing estimations with varying uncertainty levels depending on project maturity * Advanced English proficiency (C1 level demonstrated) **Desired Skills and Knowledge:** * Engineering knowledge in electrical, mechanical, and civil disciplines applied to industrial environments * Familiarity with Oil & Gas legislation * Advanced knowledge and hands-on experience with Microsoft Office, especially Excel * Ability to prioritize and manage one’s own workload * Effective listening and clear communication across all organizational levels * Planning, organization, and resource management skills * Experience administering large budgets * Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with others * Experience managing projects valued between €5 million and €10 million **WHO WE ARE** ----------------- **Exolum** is Europe’s leading liquid products logistics company and one of the world’s largest.
