This position is critical to ensuring industrial process safety and guaranteeing compliance with all applicable environmental regulations at the plant. **Responsibilities** * Lead **Process Safety Management**, including HAZOP studies, risk assessments, audits, Instrumented Safety Systems (SIL) reviews, and critical equipment control. * Ensure compliance with **environmental regulations**, managing permits, emission reports, waste management, effluent discharges, and liaison with competent authorities. * Coordinate and participate in internal and external audits (ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001) and support Operational Excellence initiatives. * Investigate incidents related to process safety and environment, prepare reports, and follow up on action plans. * Collaborate on new projects by identifying risks, participating in technical reviews, and ensuring alignment with corporate requirements. * Prepare corporate reports (KPIs), manage technical documentation, support onboarding programs, and coordinate emergency drills and response plans. * Work cross-functionally with technical, maintenance, process, and sustainability teams to foster continuous improvement. **Qualifications****Hard Skills** --------------- * **Process Safety Management (PSM)**. * Risk assessment methodologies: **HAZOP**, ATEX, SEVESO. * Internal and external audits: **ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001**. * Industrial regulatory knowledge: **APQ, RAP, REBT, RAT, RAE, RIF, RITE**. * Interpretation of **P&ID** and understanding of chemical process operations. * Verification and review of **Instrumented Safety Systems (SIL)**. * Environmental management: emissions, waste, effluents, PRTR, CO₂, GHG. * Tools and platforms: **SAP, Office, SharePoint, Ecoiuris**, control systems **Delta V** and **IO Analytics**. * Technical documentation management and preparation of corporate reports (KPIs). * Knowledge of **analytical methods** and laboratory techniques associated with chemical processes. **Soft Skills** --------------- * Leadership and cross-functional coordination with technical, maintenance, and process teams. * Communication skills to train, inform, and convey safety criteria. * Analytical thinking and problem-solving orientation. * Attention to detail and commitment to continuous improvement. * Collaborative work style and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. * Proactivity in identifying risks and improvement opportunities. * Effective time management and prioritization. * Ability to work under strict regulatory requirements and demanding industrial environments. **Education & Qualifications** ------------------------- * **University degree** in: Chemical Engineering * **Minimum experience**: 4 years in similar roles within an industrial setting * **Desirable additional training**: + Process Safety (PSM) + HAZOP or other risk analysis methodologies + Industrial and environmental regulations + Knowledge of ATEX, SEVESO, waste, effluent, emission, and GHG regulations * **Languages**: English / French (desirable) **What We Offer*** **On-site and permanent position** at our Burgos plant. * A **key and challenging role** as Safety Coordinator, with direct impact on protecting people, processes, and facilities. * A **dynamic industrial environment**, where you can apply and expand your HSE expertise alongside a committed and close-knit team. * A **competitive compensation package**, complemented by social benefits. * **Continuous on-the-job training** and a comprehensive onboarding program to integrate you from day one. * The opportunity to join a **global leader in animal nutrition**, internationally recognized for its commitment to **innovation and sustainability**.
