Our team of over 10,000 people across 8 countries (Spain, Portugal, Poland, United Kingdom, United States, Mexico, Chile, and Brazil) develops and implements financial solutions across a broad spectrum of technologies (including Blockchain, Big Data, and Angular, among others) on both local and cloud-based platforms. **THE IMPACT YOU WILL MAKE** **Santander Digital Services** is looking for a **Senior Lead Software Engineer** based in **Madrid (Luca de Tena Building)** with at least 7 years of experience in technology project execution. In this role, your key responsibilities will include: * Collaborating with the team to develop detailed project work plans * Contributing to the implementation of functional and technical objectives, master plans, deliverables/milestones * End-to-end tracking of deliverables/milestones implementation and status communication * Risk management impacting or potentially impacting project success: identification, documentation, communication, and escalation when necessary * Interdependency management: ensuring all interdependencies are appropriately identified and all affected parties are informed * Identifying tasks, milestones, and responsible parties for each project * Resolving potential conflicts while ensuring adherence to planned milestones * Coordinating various stakeholders involved in projects, both at corporate level and within factories and subsidiaries * Contributing to status and progress reporting to project leadership and the Area **WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE TEAM** Our people are our greatest strength. The following requirements represent the essential knowledge, skills, and competencies for this role. **Professional Experience** * Minimum 7 years of experience in technology project management (Mandatory) * Proficiency in Java, Angular, SQL (Mandatory) * Prior experience in Santander’s technology environment (Desirable) **Education** * Degree in Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, or related university degrees * Higher Vocational Training in technological fields **Languages** * English proficiency at B2 level or higher (Desirable) **Technical Skills (Hard Skills)** * Experience managing technology projects * Solution-oriented mindset, focused on product development and outcomes * Knowledge of programming languages Angular and backend Java (Darwin) * Familiarity with frameworks such as React, Spring, Spring Boot * Knowledge of DevOps tools such as Jira, Jenkins, Git, GitHub * Experience working with platform monitoring, planning and process automation platforms, microservices, and Agile/Lean methodologies * Technical-functional knowledge of Savings and Investment products and processes * Proficiency with productivity tools such as Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) * Familiarity with Agile ways of working; strong communication skills and results orientation, with ability to collaborate effectively with Business and Operations teams **Interpersonal Skills (Soft Skills)** * Knowledge of Agile practices and strong management capability * Global vision and high organizational capacity * Strong personal communication, conflict resolution, and problem-solving skills; effective leadership * Structured and efficient work ethic; capable of self-managing in highly uncertain and volatile environments; flexible * Familiarity with Agile methodologies: SCRUM, KANBAN, etc. * Results orientation; execution of initiatives aligned with OKR achievement * Proactivity, strong communication skills, and positive attitude * Influence-based management **WE VALUE YOUR IMPACT** Your contribution matters—and we recognize it.
