Through this opportunity, you will participate in new project developments, assuming the role of a **Senior Backend Java Developer for a major international client.** * Location: Madrid City Center (2 days per week onsite) * Schedule: Monday–Thursday: 8.5 hours/day; start time between 7:00 and 9:30 AM, end time no earlier than 4:00 PM. Fridays: until 3:00 PM, working 7 hours. **Responsibilities:** * Develop and maintain backend libraries and services using Java 17 and Spring Boot 3 within a microservices architecture. * Ensure optimal integration with other layers (UI, hardware devices, cloud server). * Apply state-of-the-art automated testing practices (unit, component, and integration tests). * Work on automated software packaging and deployment. * Contribute innovative product ideas, prototypes, functional and design specifications, as well as production software. * Apply agile methodologies throughout the development process. **To be a match...** Solid experience with **Java (recent versions, e.g., 21), Spring, and Spring Boot.** Experience with **microservices.** Experience in **functional or reactive programming.** Experience using **Kubernetes or Red Hat OpenShift.** Desirable experience in containerized environments (Docker) and Kubernetes.
