The Secondary Trading Middle Office team supports secondary loan buying/selling activities in Leveraged Finance within Santander Corporate \& Investment Banking, acting as the liaison between Front Office and Back Office across the transaction lifecycle. The team supports buy/sell transactions from deal and facility onboarding through to trade booking, document review, execution in ClearPar, booking in Loan IQ, settlement tracking, and post-trade portfolio maintenance. Secondary Trading Middle Office sits at the center of the execution process, working closely with Trading Desk / Front Office, Sales, Risk, KYC, Tax, Legal, Proposal Team, Back Office, Fund Managers, Agent Banks, and counterparties to ensure transactions are processed efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with internal requirements. The role offers direct exposure to the Leveraged Finance secondary loan market and enables deep understanding of the operational, documentation, and settlement lifecycle of transactions, including servicing events and TRS-related cash flows. The team promotes a robust digital culture with an “AI-first” mindset, integrating generative artificial intelligence and advanced digital tools into daily workflows to enhance productivity, execution quality, and decision-making. In this role, your key responsibilities will include: * Supporting end-to-end execution of Secondary Trading transactions, including onboarding, document review, trade confirmation, and coordination with relevant stakeholders. * Acting as the central point of contact between Front Office, Back Office, Risk, KYC, Legal, Tax, Sales, Fund Managers, Agent Banks, and external counterparties. * Ensuring transactions are accurately and timely recorded, documented, and reflected in internal systems and tools. * Monitoring transaction progress and proactively resolving incidents, dependencies, and documentary bottlenecks to prevent settlement delays. * Reviewing Trade Confirmations, Transfer Documents, and Pricing Letters, ensuring alignment with approved terms, LMA standards, and internal requirements prior to execution. * Managing multiple concurrent transactions and lifecycle events, including amendments, refinancings, repricings, prepayments, rollovers, spread changes, and TRS economic events. **WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE TEAM** Our people are our greatest strength. The following requirements represent the essential knowledge, skills, and competencies for this role. **Professional Experience** * 2–4 years of relevant banking experience, ideally in Middle Office, Loan Trading, Leveraged Finance, or Corporate \& Investment Banking transaction execution environments.
