We seek individuals distinguished by their proactive attitude, commitment to continuous improvement, and ability to contribute innovative ideas — always prioritizing service excellence. **Your Mission** * Reporting to Electronics Inspectors, the selected candidate will be responsible for implementing new equipment/systems, performing preventive and corrective maintenance in coordination with fleet inspectors, among other duties. * Supervision, maintenance, modifications, calibration, and repair of the fleet’s electronic systems: * Ship control and stability systems. * Automation systems, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), HMI/SCADA. * Electrical power plants. * Electronics integrated with propulsion engines. * Navigation and communication systems. * Closed-circuit television (CCTV) and audio/video distribution systems. * Fire detection, prevention, and suppression systems. * Telephone exchanges. * Ramp and gangway control systems. * Assistance during groundings and technical stoppages to carry out maintenance, repairs, and commissioning of the aforementioned systems. * Administration, maintenance, and modifications performed on onboard computer networks. * Design and implementation of data acquisition and/or measurement systems. * Management of work reports and orders related to electronic systems sent by fleet vessels. * Assistance in sourcing electrical/electronic spare parts and suppliers. Contact with suppliers. * Management of assigned direct staff or subcontractors. * Workshop and electricity/electronics warehouse management. * Analysis and proposal of improvements in area management and interdepartmental collaboration. **Requirements:** --------------- * Degree in Industrial Engineering (Electronics), Telecommunications Engineering, Electro-Technical Officer, or equivalent. * Three years of experience in electronic systems maintenance within the naval sector or similar. * Experience in SCADA system maintenance and installation. * Experience with industrial networks. * PLC programming (Unity, PL7) — Ladder Logic, Function Block Diagram (FBD). * Proficiency in office software and procurement management systems. * Advanced English proficiency is mandatory. * Willingness to travel frequently to various ports across the Canary Islands. * Teamwork and personnel management capabilities. * Valid driver's license and personal vehicle. * Residence in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. **Preferred Qualifications:** * Programming in C/C++/C#. * Knowledge of electrical CAD software such as SEE Electrical. * Current or prior possession of an authorized electrician’s license issued by the Ministry of Industry. * Training in AMOS procurement management software. * Advanced occupational health and safety training. * English certification at C1 or C2 level. **What We Offer** * Permanent contract. * Opportunity to join a leading company in the Canary Islands. * Dynamic environment — no two days are ever the same here. * People-focused work — working with people and for people. * Professional development and continuous learning. * Pride in contributing to connecting the region through “Your Best Company”. **Do You See Yourself Here?** If you enjoy working in active environments, engaging directly with people, and being part of the operational team that makes each voyage possible, we want to meet you! **Committed to Our Team and Customers** At Fred.
