Furthermore, we maintain close collaboration with the university through our Technological Advisory Council, Grupo CÁTEDRA, composed of 14 nationally and internationally renowned professors specializing in Operations Research and data science, reinforcing our scientific value proposition and offering. **About the position.** We are seeking a **PhD in Telecommunications Engineering (or related disciplines)** to join a multidisciplinary team dedicated to developing advanced solutions for wireless communication analysis and information extraction from various radiofrequency systems. You will join a team comprising software developers, AI specialists, and system architects, contributing your expertise in signal processing and SDR technologies to convert radio emissions into useful information, subsequently processed by analytical algorithms and AI. We are not looking for a profile focused on RF hardware or antenna design, but rather someone capable of analyzing signals, understanding their operation, and integrating with the development team to build software solutions. **What will you do?** * Capture and analyze radio signals using SDR platforms such as USRP, HackRF, BladeRF, LimeSDR, or similar. * Characterize radio emissions by identifying parameters including frequency, bandwidth, modulation, timing, and other physical-layer characteristics. * Design and implement digital signal reception and processing chains to generate usable data streams for the rest of the team. * Collaborate in the analysis and understanding of commercial and proprietary wireless protocols used in communication systems. * Work with tools such as GNU Radio, Universal Radio Hacker (URH), Inspectrum, SigDigger, or equivalent for signal analysis and decoding. * Develop Python-based utilities and automation scripts to facilitate signal analysis and processing. * Collaborate closely with software development and AI teams to integrate processing chains into OGA-developed solutions. * Participate in technical documentation, report writing, and knowledge transfer to the rest of the team. **First weeks at OGA** From day one, you’ll be supported by the entire team. The People department will organize a series of Onboarding meetings at three levels with different OGA leaders: covering general aspects and internal systems, the company’s purpose, and the technologies we use. You’ll also meet your Buddy, who will guide you—especially during your first month—throughout your integration process. Together with your Buddy, you’ll have scheduled meetings to address any topic facilitating your adaptation. **What do we require?** * PhD in Telecommunications Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Physics, or related disciplines. * Professional experience in radio signal analysis, SDR, or digital signal processing, whether in professional settings, research projects, or demonstrable personal developments. * Knowledge of radiofrequency and digital communications. * Experience using SDR platforms (USRP, HackRF, RTL\-SDR, BladeRF, LimeSDR, or similar). * Experience with signal analysis and processing tools such as GNU Radio, Universal Radio Hacker (URH), Inspectrum, SigDigger, or equivalents. * Knowledge of digital and analog modulations (FSK, PSK, QAM, OFDM, LoRa, among others). * Programming skills in Python for automation and signal processing. * Ability to interpret unknown signals and collaborate in developing reception and decoding chains.
