Our team of over 10\.000 people across 8 countries (Spain, Portugal, Poland, the UK, the US, Mexico, Chile, and Brazil) develops and/or implements financial solutions across a broad spectrum of technologies (including Blockchain, Big Data, and Angular, among others) on both on-premises and cloud-based platforms. **THE DIFFERENCE YOU MAKE** **THE CDAIO AREA** is seeking a **DATA ENGINEER** based at our offices in **Luca de Tena (Madrid).** As a **Data Engineer**, your objective will be to collaborate on defining, evolving, and implementing DataOps and MLOps frameworks associated with business intelligence, big data, AI, and machine learning processes — with a particular focus on public cloud data platforms (Azure Databricks) covering the full software deployment lifecycle for data, from archetype creation through CI/CD integration to building unit tests (in Python, Scala, and Java). Advanced Spark knowledge is essential to understand, design, and resolve issues in distributed execution environments for analytics, real-time analytics, and machine learning models (advanced analytics), all aimed at accelerating our transformation and becoming increasingly a data-driven organization. To succeed in this role, you will be responsible for: * Collaborating on defining data archetypes (analytics, streaming, machine learning, etc.) and supporting their evolution and implementation by developing or integrating architectural components — with special emphasis on Azure Databricks. * Defining continuous integration processes to automate software deployment across different environments throughout its lifecycle. **WHAT YOU BRING** Our people are our greatest strength. The following requirements represent the essential knowledge, skills, and abilities needed for success in this position. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions. **Professional Experience** * Minimum 3\+ years’ experience in consulting, developing analytical applications or machine learning models, and/or data architectures. * Minimum 1\+ year’s experience in building archetypes, writing unit tests, and deploying software using continuous integration. **Education** * Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field is required. **Languages** * Intermediate-to-advanced English proficiency is desirable. **Technical Skills** * Mandatory experience with DevOps tools: Maven, GitHub Actions, Databricks Asset Bundles, Jenkins, Git. * Programming languages: Proficiency in Python and Java is mandatory; Scala is desirable. * Mandatory data architecture expertise: Spark, Databricks. * Databases (NoSQL, Graph, Relational, etc.). * Mandatory cloud analytics platforms (Azure, AWS, etc.). **Soft Skills** * Analytical ability. * Adaptability and flexibility. * Attention to detail. **WE VALUE YOUR IMPACT** **Your contribution matters** and is recognized.
