Technical mentoring for junior profiles Overview: **Backend Java Senior Engineer \- León**### **About the Project** You will join a high-impact technology project within a critical and demanding environment, where quality, security, and scalability are paramount. You will work in a senior, collaborative technical team with deeply rooted best practices, under a **60% remote work** model, with your **workplace located in León**.### **What You'll Do** * Design and develop robust and scalable Java backend services. * Create, maintain, and optimize REST APIs and integration flows. * Work with relational databases, primarily PostgreSQL. * Implement messaging and streaming solutions using Kafka. * Apply unit testing and methodologies such as TDD and BDD to ensure code quality. * Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior profiles, sharing vision and best practices. * Actively collaborate in agile teams (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe). ### **✅ What Will Make You Succeed in This Role** * More than 5 years of experience as a backend developer. * Proficiency in **Java 8 or later** and **Spring**. * Solid experience with **PostgreSQL** or other relational databases. * Practical knowledge and hands-on experience with **unit testing, TDD, and BDD**. * Experience in designing and consuming **REST APIs**. * Usage and implementation of **Kafka**. * Experience working in agile environments. * English language proficiency at **B2 level or higher**. * Strong analytical skills, quality orientation, and teamwork ability. * **Nice-to-Have** * Degree in Computer Engineering or related field. * At least 2 years of experience with **Quarkus**. * Familiarity with **Clean Code** and **SOLID** principles. * Use of quality tools such as **SonarQube** or similar. * Basic knowledge of **Docker**. * Certifications in agile methodologies or Java technologies. ### **What We Offer?** Hybrid Work Model (**60% remote work**, with **workplace in León**) Versatile Growth: Learn new languages and earn technical certifications through our Expleo Academy.
