We are seeking a **Technical Advisory Consultant** to provide technical advice and support for managing the software/firmware lifecycle and commissioning of command and control systems and simulation equipment managed by PCMSHS. **Responsibilities** ---------- **Key Functions:** * Conduct technical studies and develop procedures for activating commercial software used in command, control, and simulation systems, ensuring compatibility with operational infrastructures, compliance with environmental constraints, and proper application of licensing policies established by each manufacturer. * Provide technical support for analyzing and planning the distribution of customized software versions, evaluating operational environment conditions, upgrade options, version compatibility, and risks associated with deployment. * Analyze incidents reported by end users during software deployment, identifying recurring patterns, determining root causes, and proposing technical or procedural solutions for resolution and prevention. * Collaborate in defining and executing functional and integration test protocols, and in drafting technical manuals and user guides to facilitate software logistics management (distribution, updates via SIGLE, and operational activation). * Conduct technical studies focused on managing obsolescence of in-service COTS equipment, including analysis of hardware, software, and firmware component lifecycles, and renewal strategies aligned with manufacturers' specifications. * Analyze technical and documentary information required for proper receipt of COTS software and firmware, identifying manufacturer-specific procedures (download portals, technical documentation, certificates, integrity verification). * Explore and evaluate technological alternatives—both software and hardware with embedded firmware—that ensure compliance with system accreditation requirements and offer technical, operational, or maintenance advantages over current solutions. **Requirements** -------------- **Requirements:** * University Degree (MECES 2\) in one of the following fields: * Telecommunications Engineer, Computer Engineer, Computer Systems Engineer, Information Systems Engineer, Industrial Engineer (Automation or Electronics track), or * Other degrees in Engineering or scientific-technical fields (e.g., Physics, Mathematics, etc.) * Professional experience executing maintenance engineering and/or lifecycle engineering projects. * Professional experience executing data analytics projects. * Possession of an official Postgraduate Master’s Degree in a technical field related to engineering. * Possession of certification in data analytics tools. * English proficiency certified at level B2 or TOEIC 785–940 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). **Benefits** -------------- * **Location:** Madrid * **Work Mode:** Hybrid * **Summer Schedule:** Intensive working hours. **Are you interested?** If you meet the requirements and wish to participate in this project, please send us your CV or contact us for further details.
