Description

A Social Worker is required for Child Abuse Assessment Teams (EVAMI) in the Barcelona region. The role involves immediate attention and assessment—within the professional scope of social work—of urgent cases arising from suspected child abuse situations, acting swiftly and effectively to intervene and initiate child protection procedures when necessary, while providing coordinated responses with the child protection network for each specific situation. Immediate attention to urgent cases detected in the healthcare sector that may involve possible child abuse. Assessment of risk situations within the family unit to ensure the protection of children and/or adolescents. Proposal of appropriate protective measures for each case. Implementation of preventive actions in response to identified risk or abuse situations. Provision of technical support to services involved in child and family welfare, within the professional scope of competence. Preparation of reports and notification of decisions. * Minimum 12 months’ experience; 2 years’ experience in similar activities. * Bachelor’s degree in Social Work. * Catalan (spoken: advanced; written: advanced). * Competencies / knowledge: Teamwork (Level: HIGH); Commitment (Level: HIGH); Identification of risk factors (Level: HIGH); Problem-solving ability (Level: HIGH); Technical credibility (Level: HIGH); Knowledge of the child protection system (Level: HIGH). A degree in Social Work is mandatory; complementary training in childhood-at-risk and family contexts is required.
