Description
The workshop dispatch operator is responsible for managing the flow of materials from the moment they arrive until they leave the warehouse. Daily tasks include receiving, sorting, and preparing orders, ensuring that everything is in order. They also keep inventory levels up to date and organize the workspace to ensure it remains clean and accessible. This position requires strong attention to detail and good organizational skills.
A key part of the job involves coordinating with production and logistics teams to ensure deliveries arrive precisely when needed on the assembly lines. Additionally, the operator optimizes vehicle loading for transportation to maximize space utilization. They also prepare delivery notes and handle documentation accompanying goods movements, thus requiring proficiency in basic administrative procedures.
The work environment is dynamic, with high emphasis placed on safety and productivity. This professional helps prevent bottlenecks in the supply chain and ensures customer orders are delivered on time. A Compulsory Secondary Education (ESO) diploma is required, along with a minimum of two years’ verifiable experience in a similar role within logistics or warehousing. Practical knowledge of warehouse management—including shipping documentation and inventory handling—is essential. Prior experience in team coordination or supervision will be considered an advantage.
