**Requisition Number:** 24551BR **Description:** Stantec is seeking to hire a JUNIOR PROCESS ENGINEER for its offices in Peru, requiring a professional with at least one year of general work experience. Key responsibilities include: * Process Engineer, Chemical Engineer, Metallurgical Engineer, Industrial Engineer, Hydraulic Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, or related discipline, with experience in tailings dewatering and transport processes, considering various technologies: conventional thickening, cycloning, high-density thickening, paste, and filtration. * Provide support across all engineering design phases—from conceptual through detailed design—including audits, due diligence, and peer reviews. Experience in commissioning strategy design and management, start-up, as well as operational experience and process optimization is considered a plus. * Contribute to multidisciplinary projects involving the design of systems and facilities for mining waste management (tailings, waste rock dumps), leveraging available market equipment and suppliers, and staying current with industry best practices in tailings dewatering and other mineral processing waste treatment technologies. * Ability to maintain fluent and professional communication with internal peers, colleagues from other offices, and senior staff. **Qualifications:** Requirements for this position are: * Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Hydraulic Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field. * Intermediate-level proficiency in English. * One year of experience as a Process Engineer, specializing in tailings dewatering. * Availability to work hybrid in San Isidro. **About Stantec:** The Stantec community comprises approximately 34,000 employees working across more than 450 locations on six continents.
