PHYSIOTHERAPIST

Description

Center for the care of people with intellectual disability and autism spectrum disorder at Bellvitge Residence and Day Center. We are seeking a physiotherapist to join our interdisciplinary team and contribute to improving the well-being, mobility, and quality of life of the individuals we serve. Main responsibilities: Assess the functional, motor, and postural status of individuals served. Identify physiotherapy needs and develop individualized intervention plans. Deliver individual treatments and group activities aimed at maintaining or improving mobility, balance, coordination, and functionality. Prevent physical deterioration, deformities, contractures, falls, and other complications associated with reduced mobility. Intervene in cases of pain, postural alterations, or difficulties in gait and transfers. Provide guidance on positioning, mobilization, transfers, technical aids, and environmental adaptations. Offer advice and training to direct-care staff. Monitor interventions and document their progress. Coordinate with medical, nursing, psychological, occupational therapy, social education, and direct-care professionals. Participate in the development and review of individualized care plans. * Minimum 1 year of experience. Experience in intellectual disability, dependency, autism, and multisensory stimulation will be valued. * Physiotherapy qualification. * Competencies / knowledge: Experience in intellectual disability, autism, neurology, geriatrics, or mental health will be valued. Training in positioning, postural control, human mobilization, fall prevention, and technical aids. Experience working with individuals requiring high support levels, with reduced mobility or communication difficulties. Knowledge of positive behavioral support and person-centered care. * Indefinite-term employment contract. * Part-time schedule (8 hours per week).
