We are looking for a Cook for the Sant Antoni de Pàdua Residence, with a vocation for service, rigor, and organizational ability to join our kitchen team. 1\. Menu planning, diets, and service \- Adapted cooking: Prepare daily menus according to the established plan, strictly adhering to written instructions from the medical, social, or nutrition departments (e.g., texture-modified diets, soft diets, low-sodium diets, etc.). \- Allergen and portion control: Special attention to intolerances and allergens in compliance with current legislation. Adjust portion sizes according to prescriptions issued by medical staff. \- Presentation and service: Plate meals at mealtimes, ensuring quality and visual appeal, recognizing that food is essential to residents’ well-being. \- Distribution: Coordinate with the kitchen team to assemble and maintain proper temperature of meal trolleys for delivery to dining rooms or floors. 2\. Food safety, procurement, and stock management \- Stock management: Receive and store raw materials correctly, monitoring quantity, quality, and rotation in cold rooms according to sanitary regulations. \- HACCP protocol: Maintain hygiene and food safety records (HACCP), monitor expiry dates, and prevent contamination during packaging and handling. Store daily menu samples as required. \- Orders and budget: Draft purchase proposals for the housekeeper/coordinator and jointly supervise financial data and food budget control. 3\. Hygiene, order, and equipment \- Cleaning and maintenance: Organize, supervise, and participate (as needed) in cleaning and disinfecting kitchen facilities, machinery, and utensils. \- Waste management: Supervise and properly manage kitchen waste and transport it to the center’s designated waste area. \- Staff supervision: Ensure proper uniformity of the kitchen team and strict adherence to personal and food-handling hygiene requirements. \- Communication: Report any incidents or anomalies detected in kitchen service or equipment status to your supervisor.
Minimum 1 year of experience. Prior experience working in the kitchen of a residence, hospital, day center, or collective catering facility within the healthcare sector will be highly valued.
