At **KWS Semillas Canarias**, we are seeking a **Station Technician (m/f/d)** for our research station in **Gran Canaria**. **Position Objective** The primary objective of this position is to support the Project Manager in all activities related to KWS’s Double Haploid (DH), Trait Integration (TI), and speed breeding programs at our Gran Canaria research station. **Your Responsibilities** * **Project Management:** Support the area lead in nursery activities for DH, TI, and speed breeding, including planting preparation, seed and seedling selection, sowing, collection and data management, pollinations, harvesting, and seed processing. * **Personnel Supervision:** Supervise and train temporary staff under your responsibility, ensuring their motivation and proper execution of tasks. * **Quality Control:** Carry out and report automated field and greenhouse tasks to ensure work complies with established instructions and protocols. * **Data Management:** Maintain up-to-date inventories of materials, Excel spreadsheets, and the company’s database. * **Safety:** Actively participate in implementing and monitoring the station’s occupational health and safety policy. * **Communication:** Maintain fluent, clear, and respectful communication with colleagues. **Your Profile** * **Recommended Education:** Agricultural Technician or equivalent qualification. * **Leadership:** Prior experience managing personnel is essential. * **Experience:** Experience in agriculture is desirable. * **Technical Skills:** Proficiency in office software at user level; knowledge of English is desirable. * **Personal Competencies:** * + Organizational ability and attention to detail. + Independence, proactivity, and accountability. + Flexibility, adaptability, and excellent teamwork skills.
