Your primary objective is to provide practical support in identifying, assessing, and controlling occupational risks present in the services and facilities within your area, implementing preventive measures and ensuring compliance with applicable legal regulations to guarantee a safe working environment and strengthen the organization’s prevention-oriented culture.
In your duties, you must consistently adhere to the following principles:

Key Responsibilities:
* Support risk assessments for the workplace, including hygiene, ergonomic, and psychosocial measurements; additional technical reports; and control and follow-up visits.
* Assist in regular supervision of preventive activities in assigned services, ensuring effective implementation of preventive measures.
* Advise on Occupational Safety and Health matters, workplace inspections, committee meetings, and coordination of business activities, ensuring contracts comply with current legal regulations, following company guidelines and ISO 45001\ requirements.
* Support investigations of accidents and incidents, especially significant accidents and occupational diseases within your area of responsibility, identifying root causes and formulating recommendations.
* Participate in audits scheduled in the annual Occupational Safety and Health plan, aiming to ensure compliance with the guidelines established in the company’s Management System.
* Assist in developing and delivering Occupational Safety and Health training courses.
Main interface
* Internally: Operations, Maintenance, Supply Chain, Administration and Finance, Human Resources, other Merck sites.
Education and Knowledge:
* Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Sciences, Biology, Chemical Sciences, Pharmacy, Engineering, or Chemical Engineering.
* Master’s degree in Occupational Risk Prevention covering all three specialties: Hygiene, Ergonomics, and Safety.
* Intermediate English (B1\). Technical-level oral and written communication proficiency.
* Proficiency in office software applications.
* Training in ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and ISO 50001 standards.
* Results-oriented, highly motivated to achieve goals and manage daily tasks efficiently.
* Audit experience is desirable.
* GMP knowledge is desirable.
