**We are seeking a Senior Dataspace Engineer to participate in strategic projects related to data interoperability, the data economy, and the development of digital ecosystems based on European standards. You will join multidisciplinary teams responsible for designing, implementing, and evolving secure and scalable data exchange solutions, contributing to initiatives aligned with IDSA, Gaia\-X, and other next-generation data-sharing architectures.** **This position is based in Madrid under a hybrid work model, with some days worked remotely from home and others at the office, where you can build meaningful synergies with your team members.** **It is mandatory to reside in Spain and hold a valid work permit in Spain.** -------------------------------------------------------------------------- **Responsibilities** ------------- * **Design and develop connectors and services for dataspace platforms using Java and Eclipse Dataspace Components (EDC).** * **Implement data exchange policies, governance mechanisms, and associated services for IDSA and Gaia\-X architectures.** * **Develop semantic solutions for metadata and knowledge management using RDF, SPARQL, ontologies, and Apache Jena/Fuseki.** * **Design, deploy, and optimize cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure, applying continuous integration, automation, and DevOps practices.** **Key Accountabilities** --------------------- * **Lead the technical definition and evolution of enterprise dataspace platforms.** * **Design distributed, scalable, and secure architectures for information exchange ecosystems.** * **Coordinate the integration of EDC connectors, semantic services, APIs, and cloud components.** * **Collaborate with architects, functional analysts, and business teams to translate functional requirements into technical solutions.** * **Participate in architecture reviews, standard definitions, and technology decision-making.** * **Drive adoption of best practices in development, security, automation, and data governance.** **Required Experience:** -------------------------- **Approximately 6 years of experience in the following areas:** ---------------------------------------------------------------------- **• Software development and distributed architectures. • Proficiency with Java. • Experience in projects related to IDSA, Gaia\-X, Eclipse Dataspace Components (EDC), or equivalent dataspace technologies. • Experience designing and deploying solutions on Microsoft Azure. • Experience integrating APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.** **Academic Qualifications:** ------------------------- **Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering. • Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering. • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics. • Bachelor’s degree in Physics. • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science. • Enabling or specialized Master’s degree in Cloud Architectures, Data Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or Semantic Technologies (desirable).** Participation in European projects related to dataspace or interoperability. • Knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud-native architectures. • Microsoft Azure certifications. • Experience in digital transformation projects within the public sector.**
