#### **The Position** We are a European software company with an ERP comprising approximately forty modules. It is a database-intensive system managing critical business processes with legal implications. * LEGACY LAYER: Proprietary 4GL platform still in production. You will not work directly on this layer in this role. * MODERN LAYER: Web application built with .NET 10 and Blazor Server, using SQL Server as the database. This is where you will work. We are seeking a full-time senior .NET professional to work on our web application, with particular emphasis on SQL Server, performance optimization, and observability. This is a hands\-on position. You will collaborate closely with the architect responsible for the technical strategy; thus, we seek a solid, solution-oriented individual—even without prior experience as lead architect. The web application requires improvements in performance, stability, and diagnostic capability. SQL Server underpins many business processes, and there remains significant room for improvement in queries, data access patterns, indexing, transactions, concurrency, and observability. We need someone capable of end\-to\-end investigation of real issues—from .NET code to execution plans—and implementing measurable solutions without turning every change into a full redesign.#### **Responsibilities** * Analyze slow queries, execution plans, indexes, statistics, blocking, deadlocks, timeouts, and resource consumption * Optimize data access from .NET, including parameterization, connection management, transactions, concurrency, and error handling * Enhance application and SQL Server observability through structured logs, metrics, traces, dashboards, and actionable alerts * Investigate production incidents and identify root causes in code, database, or their interaction * Implement optimizations safely, measure results, and prevent regressions * Collaborate with the architect and rest of the team to prioritize and execute the technical roadmap * Develop and maintain web application features using C\#, .NET 10, and Blazor Server **Expected Initial Outcomes** * Practical knowledge of the web application, its critical workflows, and its data access patterns * A baseline of performance and observability metrics for key SQL Server issues * First verified optimizations supported by before\-and\-after metrics * A prioritized backlog of improvements across .NET, data access, and SQL Server #### **Requirements** Mandatory * Proven professional experience with C\# and .NET in production web applications * Advanced experience with SQL Server, T\-SQL, execution plans, indexing, statistics, and query optimization * Ability to diagnose performance issues, locking, blocking, deadlocks, and concurrency problems * Experience correlating .NET code behavior with its actual impact on the database * Practical judgment to prioritize, implement, and validate improvements in complex systems Preferred * Experience with Blazor Server and .NET 10 * Experience with OpenTelemetry, Application Insights, Grafana, Datadog, or other observability tools * Experience with ERP systems, mission\-critical applications, or database\-intensive applications * Knowledge of CI/CD, integration testing, and performance regression analysis #### **About Us** Freematica España S.L.U.
