Attract, develop, and retain B2B accounts, and execute actions outlined in the sales action plan to achieve and exceed quantitative and qualitative objectives in hotel Business Plans. **OPERATIONS** * Assist the DOS and/or AsDOS in preparing budgets for assigned segments and/or markets and sectors, and in developing hotel Business Plans. * Monitor and report on objective achievement for accounts/areas/segments under direct responsibility, coordinating monitoring efforts with Segment Sales Managers. * Implement actions defined in the sales action plan to achieve and exceed quantitative and qualitative objectives for the assigned segment, geographic area, or sectors within the portfolio. * Coordinate and ensure the hotel’s inclusion in action plans for different segments by Account Managers from Sales Offices or Sales Development teams, depending on hotel needs. * Prepare reports required by the DOS and/or AsDOS for Business Review. * Support DOS/AsDOS with weekly projections for the account portfolio and broader segment under joint responsibility with Sales Managers. * Attract, develop, and manage local/domestic accounts not assigned to Sales Office Account Managers. Promote hotels to local accounts using MHI’s global programs and tools such as MeliáPro Rewards, TravelLabs, etc. * Close commercial agreements (dynamic, fixed negotiated, etc.) with target companies and negotiate with newly acquired agency groups, including drafting, signing, and uploading them onto the relevant internal platform. * Based on assigned segment(s), prepare and complete BT RFPs, incoming agency contracts, MICE Agreements, etc., and negotiate directly with the account. Prepare the required Business Case to attract new accounts. * Achieve New Business Objectives based on segment/s production from accounts. * Act as Account Manager for small and medium-sized accounts. * Serve as the primary contact point for any issues arising with accounts and assume responsibility for their resolution. * Fully understand GDS production channels to assist and advise our clients accordingly. * Maintain knowledge of local competition—including their products, pricing, strengths, and weaknesses—and incorporate this into sales pitches. * Coordinate with the regional Group Sales team and hotel Conference teams regarding any meeting or group requests from accounts/markets for hotels in the region, providing personal support to close deals with clients. * Coordinate with the Group Desk and via the Cross-Selling program any meetings or group requests generated by accounts or business visits for other MHI hotels (other zones/regions). * Attend third-party or MHI-organized sales events and activities promoting hotels in the region. * Participate in executing the hotel’s Pre-Opening Action Plan. * Ensure visibility of specific campaigns for accounts/segments under responsibility and their correct distribution. * Maintain constant communication with MHI Sales Offices and Sales Development teams to align efforts and actions when approaching the market to acquire new accounts or business opportunities. * Identify and communicate to Sales Development any opportunities for other hotels/countries within MHI to ensure the addressed account receives global support and agreements aligned with MHI’s potential. * Communicate all signed agreements and coordinate with involved departments. * Promote and develop virtual sales activities so that the regional hotel reaches more customers efficiently and dynamically within the MeliáPro TravelLabs environment. * Log all activities in the MHI CRM to keep the database of all accounts, actions, and activities up to date. * Coordinate and host fam trips at hotels in the region. * Plan and implement on-site inspections of all types and for all hotel segments. * Attend hotel site inspections as directed by the DOS/AsDOS. * Inform the Area Director of Sales about any inspections requiring their participation, and assess whether attendance by the Sales or Operations Director is appropriate. **CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE** * Understand the Brand philosophy and comply with applicable standards, operational manuals, and identity guidelines for your department. * Safeguard the customer experience and personalize their stay by anticipating needs and exceeding expectations. * Address customer incidents, reporting actions taken to your supervisor. Escalate incidents to your supervisor if no solution can be provided. * Understand Voice of Customer objectives and execute necessary actions to meet them. * Support your supervisor with the established Sensory Architecture for your areas. * Know and promote hotel services, facilities, entertainment programs, experiences, and events. **HEALTH & SAFETY/ HEALTHY WORKPLACE** * Know the hotel’s evacuation plan. * Know and correctly use personal protective equipment (PPE). * Understand methods, work procedures, and inherent risks related to your role. * Assume responsibilities assigned in the Occupational Health and Safety Management System Manual. **SUSTAINABILITY** * Highlight sustainable attributes in customer interactions (per Marketing & Brands department instructions). * Ensure sustainability communication adheres to principles of truthfulness, rigor, and consistency. **REQUIREMENTS** **EDUCATION AND TRAINING:** University degree in Tourism, Business Administration and Management (ADE). **LANGUAGES:** Local language (according to the establishment’s geographical location) and Advanced English.
