While developing professional competencies essential for their future careers, they also contribute to significant projects across electricity generation, distribution, and sales. **About the Department** The internship will take place within the **Nuclear Regulation Area (ARN)**, part of Endesa’s Nuclear Directorate’s Nuclear Safety Division. Among other activities, this area monitors international initiatives related to nuclear safety, with particular attention paid to the United States — due to its technological and regulatory relevance for the nuclear fleet — as well as various European countries. Currently, one area of special interest is the analysis of international initiatives and proposals concerning the **updating of external risks arising from climate change**, which may affect the safe operation of nuclear power plants. **Training Objectives** During the internship, the student will have the opportunity to: * **Acquire basic knowledge of nuclear energy and reactor operation**, understanding its application within the field of nuclear safety. * **Learn how the Nuclear Regulation Area functions**, and become familiar with monitoring international regulatory initiatives. * **Analyze, under team guidance, available technical documentation** related to external risks and climate change. * **Understand how climate change-related risks may impact the safe operation of nuclear power plants.** * **Collaborate in analyzing possible adaptation pathways for the nuclear fleet** against these risks, applying knowledge acquired during the training period. * **Develop analytical skills, information management capabilities, and teamwork abilities** within a specialized technical environment. **Mentoring and Follow-up** The student will receive continuous support from specialized staff within the Nuclear Regulation Area, as well as supervision by the team responsible for the area. Learning objectives will be established, and progress will be monitored throughout the internship, with periodic feedback provided to reinforce knowledge acquisition and maximize the value of the training experience. **Student Profile** This internship is aimed at **undergraduate students pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Energy Engineering**, with an interest in expanding their knowledge in energy and nuclear safety. A **B2 level of English** is desirable, especially to engage with international documentation and initiatives.
