Mandarin Oriental, Barcelona is an exclusive 5\-star hotel located on Passeig de Gràcia. **About the job** Based at Mandarin Oriental, Barcelona within the **Engineering Department**, the **Maintenance Technician** is responsible for carrying out preventive and corrective maintenance tasks to ensure that all hotel facilities, equipment, and technical systems operate efficiently and safely. The Maintenance Technician reports to the **Chief Engineer / Engineering Supervisor**. **As Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for:** * Performing preventive and corrective maintenance tasks across hotel facilities. * Diagnosing and resolving issues related to **electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and masonry**. * Conducting regular inspections to ensure the proper condition and functionality of equipment and installations. * Responding promptly to maintenance requests and incidents reported by different hotel departments. * Coordinating and collaborating with external contractors and service providers when required. * Keeping accurate and up\-to\-date maintenance records using established management systems. * Ensuring full compliance with **health \& safety, environmental, and operational regulations**. * Maintaining cleanliness, organization, and optimal condition of technical areas, workshops, and storage spaces. * Supporting continuous improvement initiatives related to hotel facilities and equipment. **As Maintenance Technician, we expect from you:** * Strong technical and problem\-solving skills across multiple disciplines (electrical, mechanical, etc.). * Previous experience in hotel maintenance or a similar role (minimum 2 years preferred). * Basic knowledge of maintenance management systems. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast\-paced environment. * High level of responsibility, reliability, and attention to detail. * Flexibility and availability to work shifts if required. * Good communication skills and service\-oriented mindset. * Basic English language skills. **Our commitment to you** **Learning \& Development** Your success is our success.
