**Description:** ---------------- **ABD** requires a **Geriatric Care Assistant** for residential facilities for the elderly located in **Sant Martí**. These residential facilities are rental apartment developments promoted by the Municipal Institute of Housing and Rehabilitation (IMHAB), aiming to provide elderly residents of Barcelona with adapted, safe, comfortable, and community-integrated housing that offers the support they need. Services include concierge, teleassistance, auxiliary geriatric therapies, cleaning assistance, and personal support. They are intended for individuals aged 65 or older who do not own their own housing and who independently carry out daily activities. **Key responsibilities include:** * Supporting personal hygiene and self-care * Monitoring and assisting with nutrition; preparing and cooking meals * Monitoring health status and medication administration * Maintaining the household and supporting domestic organization and mail management * Supporting the development of habits related to personal care, household maintenance, and domestic organization * Assisting with planning household purchases * Supporting relationships with family members, neighbors, and integration within the local community **We offer** Temporary replacement contract due to temporary incapacity (IT leave) Working hours: 23 hours per week — Tuesdays to Fridays (3–7 PM), Saturdays (9:30 AM–1:30 PM and 2:30–5:30 PM), and alternate public holidays (9:30 AM–1 PM) Gross monthly salary: €715, paid in 14 installments, according to the Gercat collective agreement **Requirements:** --------------- Qualification as a Family Care Worker and/or Geriatric Care Assistant Experience working with elderly people, observational skills, active listening, and discretion.
