Description

We are a global company, a leader in the development of regenerative infrastructure that generates a positive impact on society. Our workforce—comprising over 65,000 professionals across more than 40 countries on all five continents—contributes to our mission of designing a better planet. We seek individuals who want to make a difference, promote sustainable development, and find solutions to the world’s greatest challenges, including climate change, overpopulation, and water scarcity. Join us in pursuing solutions for a sustainable future. ACCIONA, within its cultural business unit, is looking to hire a drafter for its Madrid offices to work on a project in the United States. Job Description We are looking for a talented and meticulous Drafter to join our US team in Madrid. This role will be based in the Madrid offices and will focus on supporting the technical development and documentation of a cultural project located in the US. The ideal candidate must combine an expert command of AutoCAD and BIM with a deep sensitivity for high-quality architectural design and the complexity of finishes. Responsibilities: * Elaborate and document construction drawings, architectural details, sections, and detailed elevations for cultural projects, focusing on the quality of finishes and the integration of exhibition elements. * Transform design concepts and specifications from architects and exhibition designers into precise, construction-ready technical documentation (CD sets). * Ensure that all drawings rigorously comply with U.S. local and state building codes (IBC/IRC) relevant to public and cultural spaces. * Develop complex construction details, especially those related to lighting, millwork (fine carpentry), and the integration of technology into immersive experiences. * Manage and maintain consistency in design documentation, working under the Imperial system of units (feet and inches), and coordinating with teams in different U.S. time zones. * Perform plan reviews and actively participate in the multidisciplinary coordination process (MEP, Structures, Exhibit Designers). Candidate Requirements: * Education: Technical or university degree in Architecture, Interior/Exhibition Design, or related field. * Experience: Minimum 3 years of proven experience in drawing and documenting architectural design, museums, exhibitions, or high-end retail projects. * Software: Expert command of AutoCAD and Autodesk Revit (BIM). * Language: C1 or bilingual English level (written and spoken) for daily and technical communication with teams in the U.S. * Previous experience working on cultural projects such as museums or production of immersive experiences will be positively valued. * Strong understanding of finish materials, millwork details (carpentry), and building envelopes. * Working hours aligned to US-based project teams to ensure effective communication and coordination. *We are a company that values diversity as a source of talent and therefore strive to foster an inclusive environment that promotes respect, belonging, and commitment—ensuring equal opportunity for all. We invite all individuals to apply, regardless of origin, circumstances, background, or condition. ACCIONA has received the Top Employer certification for 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025—recognizing the Company as one of the best employers in Spain.*
