Description

Job Summary: Driver of municipal waste collection vehicles, responsible for vehicle maintenance, transporting waste to the final disposal facility, and regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities: 1. Driving waste collection vehicles (hook and crane) 2. Responsibility for vehicle maintenance and cleaning 3. Waste transportation and regulatory compliance * Operating various collection vehicles (hook and crane) for municipal waste collection, performing assigned tasks according to route sheets. Receiving and submitting route sheets with appropriate annotations. * Collecting underground containers using a grab arm. * Collecting waste and transporting it to the final disposal facility. * Reporting service-affecting incidents promptly and properly to the immediate supervisor. * Ensuring proper maintenance of the assigned vehicle and equipment (fluid levels, oil, basic mechanics, order, and cleanliness). Mechanical knowledge required. * Driving efficiently and in an environmentally responsible manner. * Following instructions regarding adequate fuel availability. * Ensuring all collected materials/waste are delivered to their final destination. * Ensuring compliance with quality, environmental, and occupational health and safety regulations.
