Job Summary: The R&D Project Manager will lead the development of chemical processes for APIs, managing projects from R&D through to plant transfer, ensuring technical feasibility and regulatory compliance. Collaborate in a GMP environment with multidisciplinary teams **Mission** As an R\&D Project Manager, you will lead the development of chemical processes for the industrial production of APIs, from initial R\+D phases through to plant transfer. You will be responsible for the end-to-end management of assigned projects, ensuring their technical feasibility, safety, quality, cost-effectiveness, and regulatory compliance, in close collaboration with the R\+D Directorate and development and manufacturing teams. **Responsibilities** * Lead the development of chemical processes for APIs, from experimental design through to industrialization. * Conduct literature and state-of-the-art reviews using scientific databases (SciFinder, Espacenet, etc.). * Design and execute laboratory-scale experimental strategies for process development and optimization. * Evaluate analytical results (HPLC, IR, NMR, MS, KF, among others) and define process controls. * Define synthetic routes, identify impurities, and design experiments for their synthesis and characterization. * Establish analytical specifications for raw materials, intermediates, and final product, supported by experimental data. * Manage suppliers of raw materials and intermediates, as well as associated technical and toxicological documentation. * Conduct process safety studies using the HarsMeth methodology and propose preventive measures. * Identify process residues and propose treatment solutions when necessary. * Draft technical documentation related to process development and industrialization. * Monitor raw material costs during process development. * Lead technology transfer to manufacturing and oversee trial and validation batches. * Collaborate in resolving manufacturing deviations and evaluating process changes. * Participate in managing Deficiency Letters issued by regulatory agencies. * Collaborate with R\&D Development Chemists on experimental activities. * Ensure compliance with GMP environments and applicable safety regulations. **Why Ferrer?** * Positively impact society * Opportunity to participate in volunteer initiatives * Corporate culture built on trust and responsibility * Hybrid and collaborative work model * Opportunities for development and continuous learning * Meal vouchers for split-shift working hours * Flexible compensation * People Support Plan (psychological, legal, and financial counseling) If you are empathetic, humble, curious, and optimistic, Ferrer is your company!
