**Transport Coordinator** ---------------------------- We are Europe’s fastest-growing non-food discount chain and operate a rapidly expanding logistics network comprising 16 distribution centers across the Netherlands, France, Germany, Poland, Spain, Italy, and Slovakia. In June 2025, we will open our first distribution center in Spain (Illescas, Toledo) to further accelerate our growth in the Iberian market. Now, we take another step forward with the opening of a new distribution center in Banyeres del Penedès, Tarragona. **Your Mission** ------------- The primary objective of this position is to organize daily transportation to deliver goods to stores outside the distribution center in the most efficient manner, while maintaining the service level agreed upon with the stores. The Transport Coordinator is responsible for daily operations (communication with transport partners, driver instructions, communication with the warehouse, daily documentation, and administration). The ultimate goal is to deliver to stores on time and in full. **Key Responsibilities** --------------------------------- **Dispatch** * Execute daily dispatch operations by assigning transportation routes to various providers or transport partners. * Receive and process arrival and departure information from carriers within the dispatch planning framework. * Monitor punctuality of departures and deliveries, taking corrective actions in case of any incidents in the process (e.g., warehouse delays, late truck arrivals, or other delivery issues). * Communicate loading dock schedules to warehouse colleagues. * Coordinate pre-loading activities and yard management (parking of trucks and trailers). * Deliver relevant documentation and transportation instructions to drivers. * Ensure transport partners strictly comply with facility safety regulations. * Substitute for the Transport Team Leader during their absence. **Administration** * Ensure the Transport Administration and Customer Service colleague has all necessary information to perform their tasks: waybill administration, performance and operational data administration (e.g., arrival/departure times) required for payment to transport partners and/or performance reporting. * Participate in and contribute valuable insights during the weekly operations meeting with transport partners. * Assume relevant administrative tasks during absences of the Administration and Customer Service staff. **Our Values** -------------------- * Customer orientation * Cost awareness * Teamwork * Discipline * Simplicity * Respect **Key Competencies** ---------------------- * Awareness of operational costs (e.g., prevention of prolonged waiting times or process interruptions) * Pragmatic problem-solving approach (e.g., handling absences, late arrivals, or warehouse delays), with ability to prioritize the most critical incidents. * Ability to work effectively as part of a team alongside transport partners and warehouse staff to achieve common goals. * Punctuality at work **Requirements** -------------- * Higher Vocational Training Certificate (CFGS) and/or 2\-3 years of relevant work experience, preferably in a similar role * English language level: Intermediate B1 \- B2 **Terms and Benefits** ---------------------------- * Permanent contract * Collective agreement salary: €18\.000 \- €26\.000 gross per year, paid in 12 installments. * The final salary offer will be determined based on a set of objective criteria, including relevant experience for the position, competencies, academic qualifications, and the level of responsibility required by the role. * Rotating shift work: morning and afternoon shifts * 15 % discount on Action products * Life and Accident Insurance
