Senior Python Backend Developer – Platform

Description

We are looking for a **Senior Python Backend Developer** to join a backend platform team, contributing to the development of **high-performance distributed services** and critical architectural components. The selected candidate will have **end\-to\-end** responsibility for their developments—from design and implementation through to production deployment—working in an international environment and closely collaborating with technical and business teams. **What will you do?** --------------- * Design, develop, test, and maintain backend services and batch processing pipelines. * Participate in the design and evolution of the platform architecture, focusing on improvements in performance, scalability, and resilience. * Translate functional requirements into technical solutions together with business teams. * Ensure code quality through code reviews, automated testing, and CI/CD best practices. * Participate in production deployments and incident resolution, performing root cause analysis. * Create and maintain technical documentation, design artifacts, and operational runbooks. * Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies: sprints, dailies, retrospectives, etc. * Provide support and mentoring to junior profiles. * Ensure compliance with internal security standards and regulatory requirements. **What are we looking for?** ------------------ * **7\+ years of professional software development experience with Python.** * Solid experience with **relational databases**: SQL Server, Oracle, or PostgreSQL. * Experience with **CI/CD tools and processes**, such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar. * Advanced analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills in distributed systems. * **C1 English**, both spoken and written. * Spanish language knowledge is considered a plus. * Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field. **Nice to have** ------------------ * Experience with **Java and Spring Boot**, especially in microservices architectures. * Knowledge of the **financial sector**, particularly trading, risk management, or regulatory reporting (FRTB, IMA, market risk). * Experience with messaging systems and middleware: **Kafka, TIBCO, or MQ**. * Scheduling and automation tools such as **Control\-M or Autosys**. * Experience with **AWS, Azure, or GCP**. * Knowledge of **Docker and/or Kubernetes**. * Proficiency in **Bash or PowerShell** for automation and operations. **What do we offer?** ------------------- * **Work mode:** fully remote.
