**Description:**

A company in the food industry requires a Laboratory Assistant to support quality control and food safety activities.
**Main Responsibilities:**
Perform physicochemical and microbiological analyses of raw materials, in-process products, finished products, and environmental samples, in accordance with established control plans.
Manage samples from receipt through to result reporting, ensuring compliance with defined analytical methods and procedures.
Carry out on-site sampling and analysis both in the laboratory and across various factory areas, as required by operational needs.
Verify the reliability and validity of analytical results obtained.
Record, document, and communicate analytical results, ensuring proper traceability.
Participate in the implementation and monitoring of calibration plans for laboratory equipment and certain factory equipment.
Perform laboratory equipment maintenance, verification, and control tasks.
Manage analytical result databases and prepare monitoring reports and trend analyses.
Collaborate in the investigation and follow-up of quality- and food-safety-related incidents.
Support the Laboratory Manager in other departmental duties.
**Requirements:**
University degree in Chemistry, Biology, Pharmacy, Veterinary Science, Food Science and Technology, or related fields (preferred requirement).
Applications with Medium or Higher Vocational Training qualifications in Laboratory, Analysis and Quality Control, or similar disciplines will also be considered.
Knowledge of microbiology and physicochemical analysis applied to the food sector, especially milk and dairy products.
Proficiency in laboratory analytical techniques and familiarity with Good Laboratory Practices.
Organizational skills, attention to detail, and quality orientation.
Prior experience in a food industry quality control laboratory is desirable.
