Forklift Operator

Description

We are currently seeking a Forklift Operator for our branch in Vila-real **Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, responsibilities include:** * Customer service and advisory support via telephone and/or in person at the warehouse and point of sale (advisory services, stock inquiries, delivery timelines, etc.) * Receiving materials, including loading and unloading using a front-end forklift, storage placement, inventory control, and system entry. * Providing support to the Warehouse and Logistics Manager, as required, in AS400 stock control and order management. * Ensuring cleanliness, organization, labeling, and restocking in the warehouse and at the point of sale. * Actively participating in training programs for warehouse staff. **Essential Requirements:** * Minimum 2 years of experience in warehouses or building materials retail outlets. * Valid forklift operator license. * Demonstrable experience operating front-end forklifts; accustomed to handling various volumes and similar materials (e.g., plasterboard sheets, bags, insulation products). * Basic knowledge of drywall systems (PYL), insulation, framing, and related products. * Valid Class B driver’s license. **These are the skills we will most highly value in you:** * Attention to detail when identifying product references. * Organization, tidiness, teamwork, and customer orientation. **What do we offer?** * Permanent employment contract. * Working hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM–1:30 PM and 3:00 PM–5:00 PM. * Salary commensurate with experience provided. * Flexible compensation. * Health insurance.
