F&B Cost Controller

Description

We are seeking a candidate for the **F\&B** **Cost Controller** position, responsible for analyzing, controlling, and optimizing Food \& Beverage operational costs, ensuring the reliability of financial information and supporting business decision-making. The person in this role will adopt an analytical and financial approach, closely collaborating with F\&B, Procurement, and Finance teams to ensure appropriate cost, margin, and consumption control. Their primary objective will be to provide visibility into the economic performance of operations, identifying improvement opportunities and contributing to business profitability. **What would your responsibilities be?** ***Cost Control and Analysis*** * Analyze Food \& Beverage costs and monitor key expense categories. * Supervise consumption, waste, inventories, and variances against budget. * Prepare periodic cost and profitability reports for management. * Identify opportunities for cost optimization and margin improvement. * Ensure the reliability and consistency of financial information related to F\&B. ***Financial Reporting and Performance Tracking*** * Participate in the analysis of the Food \& Beverage Profit & Loss (P\&L) statement. * Track relevant financial and operational KPIs for the business. * Support budgeting, forecasting, and monthly closing processes. * Analyze variances between actual results and budgeted figures. * Prepare reports and presentations for financial and operational management. ***Inventory and Internal Control*** * Supervise inventory processes and stock reconciliations. * Verify proper implementation of internal control procedures. * Review stock movements and potential variances. * Collaborate on internal audits and process reviews. * Contribute to continuous improvement of control and reporting systems. ***Collaboration with Operational Departments*** * Work closely with F\&B teams to understand the financial impact of operations. * Support cost analysis for menus, products, and promotions. * Provide information that supports business decision-making. * Participate in efficiency and profitability improvement projects. * Act as a liaison between finance and operational teams. **What do we require from you?** ***Education*** * Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration (ADE), Economics, or a related field. * Additional qualifications in management control or financial analysis are desirable. ***Experience*** * Experience in controlling, auditing, financial analysis, or finance departments. * Experience in hospitality, food service, or Food \& Beverage environments is highly valued. ***Languages*** * Professional-level Spanish and English. * Knowledge of additional languages is an advantage. ***Key Competencies*** * Analytical ability and attention to detail. * Financial mindset and business acumen. * Organization and planning skills. * Proactivity and problem-solving capability. * Communication and influencing skills. * Teamwork orientation. ***Technical Knowledge*** * Interpretation and analysis of P\&L statements. * Advanced Excel and data analysis tools. * Budgetary control, reporting, and forecasting. * Familiarity with ERP systems, Property Management Systems (PMS), or financial management tools is desirable.
