Context: At SYSTRA Ardanuy, an engineering company specialised in railway systems and electrical networks, we are seeking an **Electrical Control and Protection Engineer** to join our substation team. You will participate in the design of control, protection, and automation systems for transportation, distribution, and railway traction substations, contributing to national and international projects of high technical complexity. Missions/Main Duties : **Main Responsibilities:** * Design of electrical control and protection systems for high-voltage substations. * Preparation of technical specifications for control and protection cabinets. * Conceptual definition and design of single-line and detailed schematics for control, protection, and measurement. * Conducting coordination/selectivity studies and preparing Protection Setting Reports and Criteria. * Design of internal relay (IED) logic: development of logical equations, interlocks, and trip matrices. * Comprehensive design of communication architecture for substation automation systems. * Configuration and application of industrial communication protocols (IEC 61850, IEC \*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*, Modbus, etc.). * Application of cybersecurity criteria from the design phase. * Participation in railway traction substation projects (DC and AC/High-Speed), as well as transmission and distribution networks. Profile/Skills : **Experience:** * Minimum 5 years’ experience in designing electrical control and protection systems for substations. * Experience with HV (High-Voltage) substations. * Specific experience in railway traction substations will be highly valued. **Technical Knowledge:** * Solid understanding of protection philosophies and coordination/selectivity studies. * Development of technical specifications for control and protection cabinets. * Design of single-line and detailed schematics for control, protection, and measurement. * Preparation of Protection Setting Reports and Criteria. * Design of internal relay (IED) logic: logical equations, interlocks, trip matrices. * Communication architecture in substation automation systems. * Proficiency in IEC 61850, IEC \*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*, Modbus or similar protocols. * Application of cybersecurity criteria in control and protection systems. : Systra is an equal opportunities company; this position is open to all applicants.
